its called http://www.lanparty.com
I even am part of the staff at www.capitolpunishment.org a washington dc non profit bi anual party. all proceeds go to charity.
while it will probably never reach the fame and prestige of outdoor sports, I am amazed every time how skilled some people are at playing video games.
I saw gameplay and skill a large cut above what I have ever seen at a lan or over the internet.
too bad all the hltv servers broadcasting the matches kept crashing.... maybe they shouldnt have run them on windows boxen heh.
I'm not sure... The machine's a laptop (laptop = hard to upgrade, no second harddrive) already dualboots W2K and Linux. It was hard enough to get W2K to accept that it was running alongside another OS in the first place.
Maybe when I get a new machine.
on every dual boot system, i stay away from lilo as the manager, and stick with the boot.ini after some dd action. saves a lot of hassle.
schools, cant be all that bad...
seriously guys, give the harry potter books a shot. once you get past the first chapter of the first book, (kinda slow, starts off very child like) you will slowly but surely be hooked.
ive read all of them more than a couple times (dont you hate it when you want to sit down and read, but dont have anything new worth reading?)
IMHO, the HP series is up there almost with my other favorite series dune, and LOTR.
lately ive been reading the laurell k hamilton "anita blake, vampire hunter" series. laura croft, is a pansy compared to her...
