When you find a better way for a company to make money than by having people pay them for a product, let me know. (And counterfeiting does not count.) Besides, they've already promised that "Ubuntu will always be free of charge," so I don't know what you're concerned about.
1 - Ever hear of support? Product for free, support for $. Lots of companies solely thrive on this concept of support ( of others products ). They often call it 'professional services'. I suggest you look it up sometime. There is no reason it cant work if you support your own products that you give away.
2 - Promises from companies have been broken before. Quite often actually. You might want to trust some corporate entity who's directors can change and thus the direction of the company, but i dont.
Is always 2020. Just because we think we now know they were not dangerous does not mean they were not a perceived threat at that time in that situation.
Furthermore, until you have proven that you are perfect under a stressful situation like being in the middle of a war, shut your face. Yes, its sad innocents got killed, but it does happen and it wasnt intentional.
That is tied to the Microsoft 'cloud' for its core functionality.. A return to the mainframe days where if you don't continue to pay, you don't have squat.
Stop using logic, as you know they wont.. They will just blame people over in Wisconsin or Indiana ( or even Michigan, by boat ) for their 'reckless gun laws, just across the border'.
So why are we even discussing it?
Not in Google's case, they are anti-gun, remember?
And i think they want to continue doing business in their largest market. ( and where they call home )
The title gets you to read the unproven rumor.
Manufacture current designs, sure, but if the driving force behind it drys up, it will stagnate, in effect, die.
we were not, and are not being used by them.
Having been around the community since before they existed, I disagree.

They give away Ubuntu Desktop and Server editions for free,
Today, but what about tomorrow? This does not instill confidence was my point.
Is this the beginning of their move to (mostly) pay product model, like Red Hat did after they used the OSS community for all they could?
Smoking? No. However i do read papers that Microsoft publish that outlines their long term roadmap.
Midori is a step in the direction of a cloud based desktop, which is a stated goal. ( as is the current slow migration of their back office products )
Like we are going to see happen with SPARC too im afraid.
Its not about media cost or even common sense. These are the media giants, and their only goal is to screw the consumer.
As many as they can make.. Feed the beast and be happy about it.

Sure there is a small potential, but it works well for 100's of thousands of ESX installs..

True, but the gap is getting smaller.
If so, some scary stuff is near. It wont need much processing on board if you can incorporate the compressor and then wireless.
Um, if its one of their toolkits ill pass. They don't have a great track record of secure or efficient code.
Besides, hasn't he ever heard of python or java ( or a host of other languages with a common runtime )
Calling religion "fantasy" is a poor way of putting it, as it implies that it is "made up" and would have no existence without someone dreaming it up.
That pretty much defines religion. Its all made up fantasy that you can either believe in, or not. But don't pretend there is ANY verifiable truth.
Just because you can't see or prove something exists, does not mean it has no objective reality beyond your senses.
I agree there are lots of things we don't know about or understand, but until its proven to exist its still fantasy.
Stop using logic, as you know they wont.. They will just blame people over in Wisconsin or Indiana ( or even Michigan, by boat ) for their 'reckless gun laws, just across the border'.
This even fits as one of the factors why people were so much more fixated on religion in brutal times.
Or it was just despair hoping there was something better out there then their current existence, and belief in a 'wonderful god' helped them cope.
Its all the same thing. Religion cant be proved, so its fantasy.
Science, however, can be proven if the theories are correct. ( and if they aren't correct and thus cant be proven, well they were just a fantasy too )
If this isn't.. i don't know what is..
What happened to the terms 'hand held', or 'pocket sized'.. Or is that so 80's to be 1/2 way descriptive?
Make it too costly for them to do business here, they wont.
