    Not everyone is ok with this. I have been an apple fan since day 3, ( since i wasn't out on the west coast back then to have heard of them, it wasn't on day 1 ) and I'm appalled by what is going on.

    There plenty of inexpensive unlocked 'smart phones' out there now, if you want to look across the ocean to china. Sure, you have to be careful in what you choose, and you may not want to support the country ( clue: most phones are made there anyway... ) but they are available if you want..

    If so, we can kiss it good bye, which will be a great loss to the community. While they cant buy it out to kill it like they have done to others in the past ( like truespace, for a quick example.. ), I'm sure they will find a way to neuter it.

    Was the ratio i had when i was managing an entire assembly plant's IT operations. Yes i was working my ass off.. 24/7 operation as well.

    Where i am now, its more like 500:30000 ( ok, not a true ratio, but i wanted to include the total number too, since its pretty high. )

    A lot depends on what industry you are supporting, your user base, and your budget.

    I only had one 'acoustic cup' compatible phone as the 'trimline' button phones that i also had weren't shaped properly.

    Thankfully i started my online life at 300, but yes acoustic.. fond (!) memories of dialing the ( rotary ) phone, wait for an answer, then slam the stupid handset into the cups real fast before the receiving end gave up..

    Then remembering you forgot to turn off 'call waiting', and prayed that no one would call before your transmission was complete..
