WASHINGTON, DC- Instead of dealing with the email spam problem, the Congress today passed a bill that blocks the use of email by all American citzens. Although this may hurt buisness in the short term, officials expect that this will probably help the post office.
Let me just say that I work with a filter ALOT... it does filter other stuff.. but it is easy to remove a site that is improperly classified. This filter does not use keywords... so you can block "just porn" not the "other stuff"
Learn about all the filters... not look dumb
I guess I don't know why this is such a big deal. Why can't a library enforce its usage policy with a filter. This argument appears earlier, but you don't see a library having a "porn day" where they show porno's all day long. How is blocking access to pornographic sites any different? It doesn't infringe on free speech because you can find your own way to look at porn... just not at a library.
You know what... If someone wants to come up with an orignal idea thats great. Most of the people who post on slashdot seem to think that they are the smartest person in the world... I.e. If it's not their idea then it's no good. For god sakes, just say you don't personally like the idea or say nothing at all.
Arrfffggghhh!
I signed up for a hotmail account over a year ago... just to use Messenger, and have never recieved a spam email... I think over the year I recieved about 4 emails... All from Hotmail Customer service anouncing service changes and the like.
So I suppose I will agree with the guessing the email theory...
Microsoft should be responisble... THEY infringined on the patent by selling it outside of the agreed scope!
I haven't looked at the link yet... But how in the hell does a post like this get on /.?

I am pretty sure that the shuttle isn't going Mach 7 when it lands... How can that little plane be flying next to it?
