well, the parent might be scored -1, but it is still true... the technology of recombinant DNA, and the production of transgenic plants is quite new, but breeding has been going on since the beginning of agriculture, and it has had profound effects on the genetic make-up of crop plants. It is possible that a lower nicotine-producing tobacco could be acheived through "traditional" breading practices. There are also many newer techniques, but either way, you have a tobacco that does not have a functional nicotine production system. The interesting thing that I did not see in the article, is what pleiotropic effects knocking out nicotine had. Then again, those things excite me. :)

Secondly, MS provides you with a UI to install, configure, and troubleshoot video card problems. If KDE or Gnome has something like that, I've yet to find it. Strike 2 against Linux.

In gnome, on a redhat 8.0 distro:
    Redhat menu, system settings, display.

enter root pass, and edit (click) away.
maybe a quick look through the menus would help ;)

Explain to me why we have tax brackets then. They don't benefit the rich. The govt. want to please the middle class on most issues so they can get re-elected. That assumes that the middle-class would never vote for a politician who works for laws benefitting the rich only. It seems to me that a good chunk of the middle-class votes for these politicians, regardless of who benefits from those laws. -nothing here... don't even look...

I just wish folks would budget their money more wisely. Use that computer you claim to know so much about and buy Quicken or something. It will really save you dearly in the end, and perhaps save your family.

Well, if you were really budgeting your money, you would just use gnucash... that is free.

you just have to look.. was it really a precious comment, or a previous comment?
