" This reminds me of the urban legend that makes the rounds about scientists drilling into the earth being startled by the sounds of hell emerging from the pipe. Complete with escaping bat or demon emerging from the pipe."
Ah, but that is not an urban legend, it is the storyline of doom IV
Well, back in the old times, it was possible to hide files in DOS disc labels. You know, the label for every drive (like C:) was actually a file. By using norton utilities, it was possible to set some flags for any given file, and it became the label of the disc. After that you could keep the disk itself empty but the stuff was safe in the label file. I do not know if this works with newer windows systems, as I am using just Linux.
I kind of agree with you. However writing all the classes and other basic stuff takes a lot of time. On the another hand, well writen classes make it easy to maintain and extend your application.
To solve the initial problem - implementing all the required classes when you only need simple functionality - I wrote an code generator. You can try it here: http://titaniclinux.net/daogen/
It generates PHP and Java value objects and DAO classes.
Actually I played the game with my friend's communicator. The game features full color display and original sound effects. Framerate was not huge but the game was very playable. Only complaint is the lack of good joystick or some other control device.
..another 10 hours of gargnomeing. I must say I really like Gnome2 even if there is still some more work to do. But 2.1 (or was it 2.2) will fix most pending issues, I hope.
At least I was *happy* when RedHat released this thing to the world. I know some of you don't like RedHat, but hey - you don't *have to* use it. There is plenty of choise when selecting the right distribution for you.
I prefer RedHat, I've allways done, but still I am happy to see the releases of other distributions as well. I have thought that choice is what this whole linux-thing is all about.

If you have problems mapping objects from PHP (or Java) to SQL database, I suggest you to try DaoGen. You can find it here.

Keep the good stuff coming!
I completely agree with you!
My experiences with 2.4.x kernels have been very good. I am long-time Linux user (since -94) and Linux has just got better year by year.
;)
Keep the good stuff coming!
btw: Could someone (who actually knows) tell us if the new VM stuff (which is ok IMHO) is going to ship with next RedHat release?
Well. I asked Redhat support about this problem. They said that they will provide arrata upgrade to mozilla 0.9.6 and galeon. So we just have to wait.
