That's if you can get a job at the local fallen arches. Believe me, I've tried - for 8 years, no less - to get a real job. It just isn't happening for me. So take your prejudices and shove them up there, I'll have none of it. I've been there, and I'll tell you, it's no picnic.

Ah yeah. Lemmingism is the plague, nay, the pandemic that affects the masses of non-geek Americans. Shut up, do as you're told, be apathetic toward the government, buy the latest 100 GHz computer with Windows 2015 the day it comes out just so you can type letters and read e-mail...the list goes on and on. The problem is that those who wield power are either lemmings themselves or seek to control the lemmings, and of course lemmings would never criticize the government...

Yeah...what if you eat a poppy-seed bagel for breakfast and go for a drug test? You'd have some explaining to do when the test came back. And all that anyone would say to you is "Sucks to be you"...
Got two identical hard drives in a system? Just dd the hard drive over. Not sure if this is correct: dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb making the proper substitutions. Might be possible to use cp as well.
The parent to your article was IMHO a flamebait, as judged by the phrase "high-performance Windows XP". I don't think any serious/. reader thinks Windows any version is more "high-performance" than some version or clone of Unix. Prove me wrong!
You know, there was quite a bit of footage excised from Dub Episode 67 with the Sailor Soldiers hanging on crystal crosses. Changed the episode entirely. *sigh* At least the remainder of the last 17 episodes of DiC's dub (barring 82) was done pretty well.
Too bad they couldn't keep Terri Hawkes though. OK I prefer Terri Hawkes over Tracey Moore for Serena ducks but Linda Ballentyne is just...*groan* a third-rate Terri Hawkes wannabee.

I'll be sure to save up. *g* I already have the eps copied direct from LD btw, but I'll be interested in comparing the translations to Random Masters and to my own work. Yeah, I've done partial episode translations of Sailor Moon.
Rather than SCO getting bought out by IBM, I hope IBM puts them out of their misery entirely.

I thought 3.0 fixed that. BTW, that's ProDOS 8, not DOS 3.3 ;)
I wonder what OS will underlie Contiki, though.

DOS apps can be run on Linux or FreeBSD using dosemu plus FreeDOS, so having loads of legacy DOS programs is no excuse for going Windoze.
