    I'd have rather have a legal precedent set VS a rule that can be changed back.

    I hear you, but let's not forget that the supreme court has a very spotty record when it comes to enforcing the bill of rights. I'm not sure I'd like to roll the dice on them upholding the fourth or fifth amendment.

    Gallileo was a scientist, who followed the evidence to his own conclusions. What you creationists are, is anti-scientists, and all you have to offer is a very long-winded and self-righteous "nu-uh!" to everything we know about biology, geology, cosmology, logic, and so on.

    Sorry, but I have no duty to treat a murderer the same way I would treat an innocent person, even if they've served their sentence. The German parliament made a poor decision to pass a law protecting a murderer from the disgust of the public.

    Not sure about the tutorials, but if you want to write SLANG code in QC, just use the "GLSL Shader" patch. The code is edited in the "settings" pane of the inspector panel.

    There were crises and price bubbles even before the central banks (Tulip mania in Dutch, anyone?). Capitalism is more than capable of producing bubbles.

    Banks have over-issued their notes for as long as they've existed. This is not solved by gathering all of the counterfeiting and fraud into one central authority which is able to compel us to accept their notes. It's better for banks to fail individually.

    But being 'fiscal conservative' during crises is _guaranteed_ to screw everything up.

    Nope. More debt is not a solution to the problems of existing debt. It only postpones and increases the scale of the mess.

    Something that keeps tripping me up with GL/SLANG is that it's close enough to C that I keep forgetting that it's not C. Fortunately, when I write SLANG code in Quartz Composer, the compilation happens instantaneously as I type, so I can't go too far wrong before I know there's a problem.

    What utter crap. The central bank creates the crises in the first place, and the best thing you can possibly do when a crash comes is get the government the hell out of the way, as Zimbabwe has just finally done.

    I've got a 45' HDMI run going from a wall-mounted projector into my attic, spanning my living room, and dropping down into the opposite wall to my receiver. No problems whatsoever, even at 1080p/60.

    One other problem with HDMI is that although they have a nominal max cable length of 15 feet, you're lucky to get it to work if the cable is over five feet.

    Mac users want that distinctive green, blue or pink tint that only an Apple dongle can give you when they hook up to a standard projector.

    Sounds like you don't know how to properly attach a connector.
