    What's your next guess?

    Being able to fly point-to-point instead of threading all the traffic through narrow channels separated only by painted lines is a huge win. Add to that drastically shorter transit times, and the opportunities for collision are far fewer.

  9. I remember hearing about a statistical study some years ago that found that shipping losses in the area were proportional to the amount of shipping in the area. A lot more boats go through that area than most other parts of the ocean.

    I've actually been to a Foxconn factory where iPhones and iPads were made. The fact is, assembling Apple products is one of the best jobs available in China for anyone who doesn't have a degree. Anytime they're hiring, they get mobbed.
