  1. As a former Blackberry user... on What iOS 4 Does (and Doesn't Do) For Business · · Score: 5, Interesting

One thing I miss is the ability to do different notifications based on filters / profiles set up. The Blackberry can do this by flagging certain messages as a "Level 1 Notification" and then you can set normal messages to come in quietly, but Level 1 messages can vibrate, ring, whatever you configure it to do. It's great to get notified when your boss or superior email you, but let the other 200 emails a day just collect quietly.

The other feature I wish existed is when I reply to a message on my iPhone, that it shows up in Outlook as replied to (via the Exchange ActiveSync). Without it, there's sometimes confusion whether I've replied to this or not when reviewing the emails on my desktop.

  2. Start with some good colors on Web Graphic Design for Small Businesses · · Score: 1

Chances are, your company already has a company color. But what looks good with that? Without going through color theory classes, you can get some good suggestions at http://www.colorschemer.com/ - they have a tool that lets you pick your base color and see what works well with it. You can also see premade color schemes that other people have done.

  3. Tivo Series 3 won't be able to work with Directv on DirecTV's New HD-DVR · · Score: 1

It looks like this will be the only option to record the MPEG4 HD shows on Directv. Looking at the back of the Tivo Series 3 - http://www.zatznotfunny.com/PSN/Series3-back-3.JPG - there is no way to bring in an existing high definition signal. Directv is moving to MPEG4, and are slowly squeezing Tivo out of existence with them. If I were Tivo, I would make sure that my Tivo Series 3 box can have a HD input (HDMI input?) so all the Tivo diehards (which I am one - I have 3 Tivos in my house all networked together on a HAN (Home area network - hah!)) can still have the Tivo interface they've come to love, while supporting Directv as they evolve. Tivo forever! ... (unless it doesn't work with the MPEG4 Directv equipment... *cry*) Anyone else have an idea how we can feed Directv w/ HD into the Tivo Series 3's?
