You forgot the most religious zealots ever seen on this part of the galaxy: the Amiga users. They are a legend on their own, being soo devoted to their platform.
Although I find his setup really geeky and probably will never use it, that's what I like with X (and Linux in general): those who have the balls can really customize what they want to appear how they like it.
This guy must have a good laugh at each GNOME/KDE flamewar...
When I bought my IiPaq 3835 it came with Pocket Explorer, which could already browse the web and scale down graphics and arrange text to fit nicely on the small screen. Granted, I don't remember if it played the same tricks with tables and all, but it made a really good job.
Now I put linux on the little critter, which I don't use much anyway. Just an(other) expensive toy...
Why ? The DeCSS case already proved that source code != free speech. So, you can distribute source code which tells what and where the flaw is, but not speak about it - Oh wait, the DeCSS case told us exactely the inverse...
Hell no, modern chips don't run full steam when they have nothing to do, or then your desktop box would get really hot and your laptop's battery would live only half an hour.
First, the chip itself will power off the clock unused parts of the chip - this will effectively reduce power consumption.
Second, the system will throttle down the clock during idle period (like ACPI or APM would do on x86 architectures)
Microsoft really entered the game of cellphones now (see http://theregister.co.uk/content/54/27453.html for an example), forget the "competition will dope the market" slogan.

How can you put trust in someone who tells "science" tales after having read someone else who translated from a german third ? To me it looks like they just try to grab what they can and turn it into an evolutionist flaw, i.e. a creationist "evidence".
We are about to release an "internet worm" which will wreak havoc on the worldwide "internet" if you don't pay a ransom of... (place little finger on lower lip)...ONE BILLION DOLLARS!
I got to work on such a box (an IKOS Voyager) a few years ago. They're impressive. Either you can use the supplied tools which compile VHDL or Verilog "into" the box, or you can even program it directly ! Basically it's like a (very big) bunch of 4-inputs gates you can connect as you want. You can choose the behavior of each gate from a library of predefined behaviors, or even redefine yours.
My project was to map efficiently a big processor on the IKOS box. As compiling it from the VHDL design resulted in something too big to fit the box, I had to extract the logical function of the design (generate a binary decision diagram from the transistors netlist) and generate the good gates to map that on the box. I won't bore you with the details, but I really enjoyed that job !
I still receive way more daily spam (in terms of data quantity) by snail-mail than by email. That alone is way more significative than the mythic "truckload of tapes".
I know. I was one.
Too bad they replaced Power Gates by more spectacular Energetic Ballmer ...

How is developping a web application which will run only on Mozilla different from doing an IE-only website ? Honestly, I'd like to know.

There's not that much more info. They just duplicated some paragraph ...
Err ... banks already had that idea looong ago :)
Must be you can't tell the difference between a tech and a marketroid.
You ain't seen nothing yet. When Palladium will run full-steam, you won't be able to download and watch offline the movies/trailers/shorts anymore.
URL for direct downloading please ?

Did you need one more proof that patents are *not* there to help normal people ? Utopist.
