  1. Great timing on Early Adopters Experiencing More Bugs? · · Score: 1

This right after firefox 2.0 alpha is released. Some sort of joke?

  2. And when its still not secure... on Microsoft Officially Announces Anti-Virus Product · · Score: 1

then are they liable? Are they going to stop (attempting to) secure the OS now that they have an incentive not to? Will they ever have to pay up for damages that this is causing?

  3. I think of this as a form of protest on Felony For Refreshing a Web Page? · · Score: 1

I always thought that this method could be used as a very legal form of protest. It doesn't do any damage to the server, only makes the intent of the party to be seen. He is simply an organizer of a public group- and they have every right to protest against whatever they like- and since loading a web page is not illegal- a group of individuals doing this can not be seen as any sort of criminal behavior, even if this was their form of protest.

  4. CRT is Better? Says who! on CRTs Still Beat Flat-Panel TVs · · Score: 1

    You call this News?!

Personally, I enjoy looking at LCD and Plasma screens much more than CRT. The two things that sold me and probably most on LCD and Plasma over CRT monitors are:

    Brightness

    Viewing Angle

More counter/desk/floor space as a result.

It is obvious this article was written and funded by CRT manufacturers telling us how foolish we are buying for these silly reasons.

  5. Less Addresses for US on IPv6 Rollout Japan, China in 2005 · · Score: 2, Interesting

So I'll assume they are beating the US so they can grab up all the addresses. US right now holds what - 80% of all IP's worldwide? After this, 0.5% of all IP's!

  6. counter sue? on Groklaw Outlines More SCO Linux Contributions · · Score: 1

Isn't it time someone stepped up to the plate and turned this mess around on SCO? It seems to me their code is the one in question, and that they are infringing on the GPL. If they are comparing "their" code to GPLed code, and find that it's similar, wouldn't that suggest that they have been and are currently in violation of the GPL? Isn't this the main reason some consider the GPL viral? In the end, sco will lose everything.

  7. Go back to tell yourself you were right! on Time Travel · · Score: 1

This reminds me of Back to the future. Personally, if I were to discover how to make time travel possible, I would go back to that moment to prove to myself if I was right. Think about it... you discover time travel and 1 minute later you arrive beside yourself. Or at least send back a notice of congratulations: Dear you, you were right, from you 2 years from now.

  8. Bad idea on Selling Open Source on the Campaign Trail · · Score: 1

I think this topic would not be something talk about to win an election, unless of course half the population of the city use said software. Preach Open and Free, people think weak and cheap. After you are elected, then make a stand.
