Morality deals with right and wrong. Not law. The best explaination of laws I ever heard was that 'Laws are the opinions of the person with the biggest gun.' In the United States, that would be the government. Business is doing whatever you can within the law to make $$$. (The US is a Capitalistic society, not a Socialistic society - no flaming please, I hold a bachelors in social work) Econimics is really an analytical science which studies how goods and services are distributed. (by people making money distributing those goods and services....) Only MORONS think everything should be free. (ok maybe health care and education... but everything else you should work for. ) Our 'free' society guarantees the equality of opportunity, not outcome. Putz!

I HATE Salina. (I'm from there) But in Salina's defense, it's maybe 50K people on a busy day, and most of the people would be at work when he landed. I do understand there were like 30K people there to see him off. Over half the town. not bad really..... sorry, had to say it.... let the dorothy and toto jokes begin.... (GRIN) joelb

  6. Hacking? no way on Reuters Accused Of Hacking For Typing In URL · · Score: 1

I'm not someone who is really knowledgeable about setting up webservers. I have simple one I set up and am applying the concepts here, they may be invalid. When I set up my server, anything someone on my server wants published has to go in a folder called public_html. I assume something similar happens on commercial sites. There is a folder in which anything placed is fair game. Providing that is the case, and Reuters didn't do any old hacking tricks like enclosing backslashes to back up a folder to get outside of a publicly declared area, how can anyone claim they hacked someone. (sorry for the run on sentences, a problem since high school--grin)
