Can't the authors of MAME use the defense of "prior art" when they are sued by this company, and invalidate the trademark? Or does that just apply to patent law? Yeah, that's just patent law. They can probably sue him for a fraudulent trademark application, though.

They started suing Lindows in country after country, and Lindows decided they didn't want to have to fight the case in every single nation on earth and gave up. Lindows won their case in the United States.

Trawling for email addresses isn't illegal at all, certanly not in the USA which actualy legalized spam with the CAN-SPAM act.

The domains I use for email arn't even up right now, and I'm using gmail these days anyway. I had been using 'throwaway' emails for everything, and then a spammer started jo-jobbing me. Meaning that they started using fake addresses @mydomain. So I was getting tons and tons of bounce messages. It was awful.

These spammers are horrible people, but they're not even close to stupid. They're obviously making money off of it, or they would have stopped doing it a long time ago.

His reporting of the Iraq war is so stilted it makes him seem like he's rejoicing in our every failure, because it hurts bush political as much as it hurts the Iraqis physically.

Kos will print any gay rumor about any republican wether or not that particular republican has an anti-gay agenda or not and claim it's an example of Conservative hypocrisy. apparently, if two conservatives disagree, they're both hypocrites. (conservatives do this with liberals all the time, and it's just as annoying).
