Kerry's military history is so last week. Bush's military history is what we're talking about today.
Anyway, this is really intresting. And, btw what do the rest of this guy's personal documents look like are they all written in Times New Roman as well?
But the possibility exists that these forgeries were manufactured by CBS News. And that possibility is way too scary to dismiss out of hand.
No way would CBS news be that stupid, I mean really. If these are forgeries, they were done by someone who had access to the dead guys files. If someone at CBS had done it, they would have done a better job.
I'd like to see the output of some high-end typewriters of the era. It's possible that the people who made "Times New Roman" for the PC tried to reproduce the typesetting font, and that typewriter makers in the 70s also perfectly emulated typesetting fonts.
Someone needs to find one of those old proportional-width typewriters and compare the output with a freshly printed MS-Word document with the defaults.
Until someone does that, the jury is out (at least in my mind)
When I first saw this on Little Green Footballs (linked from fark) i dismissed it out of hand, since I knew there were perportional width font keyboard out there, and that the people who made the times-new-roman font could have tried to match some typographic standard.
That said, if it turns out these were made in Word, I think it would be more likely that they had been retyped.
It's also strange that Bush himself re-released the memos after they were made public.
I also have to wonder, where did these come from. Where did they find these things, I'd think that bush's records had been gone over with a fine-toothed comb long ago.
People generally hate obviously unfair propaganda. Michael Moore has done more damage to the left than anything the GOP could have done.
LOL, what country do you live in.
Yeah, people may not 'like' negative-campaigning, but it gets them to vote, until people start looking up information for themselves and bothering to figure out what's true and what's not on their own, and using that information to vote against candidates who use 'unfair propaganda' we'll still see it.
Anyway, the set of facts prevented in the film are 100% true, and you obviously havn't seen the film if you belive it will hurt Kerry.
They didn't 'find' a sarin bomb, a truck was hit with a bipolar saran shell in an IED a couple months ago. No one knows where the shell came from, it could easily have been smuggled in from syria or iran long after "major combat opperation" ended.
So anyone saying Dubya is a cokehead must be a cokehead themselves? Your evidence: you used to be fat, and now you don't like fat people.
I don't know if G-Dub snorted coke, I think it's likely. But I don't think that having snorted coke should make you inelegible for the whitehouse. Intrestingly, Barak Obama (who democrats love) admited to taking coke in a book he wrote.
The people who push this story do so because they hate bush and they want other people to hate him to. It's entirely possible to hate people because of who they are, not because of you who are.
And guess what, there was a very low voter turnout in the panhandle because they thought that Gore had already won in Florida.
I'm pretty sure that the reports didn't say gore won untill all of the polls had closed. And anyway, it's not like most pan-handle voters were going to vote in the last half-hour or so of the election.
The problem is that for people who are truly smart enough and capable enough to change the system could probably make a lot of money doing somthing else. The ones that are left are thsoe who desire power more then wealth and comfort.
Honestly, I think that if we can pay CEOs millions and millions, why not pay the people who actualy run the country similarly?.
I'd rather have this country run by people who want the paycheck then people who want the power.
Sorry, that's just not how we do it round these parts. In the US the candidates and the people who like them smear the other relentlessly in order to 'drive up their negatives' and get people to hate them.
The simple fact is, a lot of these voter registration drives target places which are a) in swing states, and b) demographically likely to vote for Kerry. Nothing wrong with that, it's what I'm planning to do.
There's also efforts by the republicans to get churchgoers, evangelicals, etc, to vote.
So what seems like a blind and somewhat confusing desire to 'get everyone to vote' is actually a desire to 'get everyone who's probabilistically likely to vote for the same people i vote for to vote'
It's not measuring what political party you're supposed to belong to (who can tell what each party stands for these days?) It's a measure of philosophical outlook.
A little gif next to someone's comments indicating where they fall on the political spectrum. That way people will be able to safely avoid conflicting viewpoints without actually being exposed to them at all!
Lost more saying Kerry was a traitor, now the swift boat vets he served with are pushing that truth hard enough people stuck reading the mass media will figure that one out also... hopefully before election day.
So the swifties are telling the truth, and President bush, Dick Cheney, etc, are lying?
As a proud father of a 6 month old baby boy, however, I would gladly strangle anybody who proudly told me that they had an abortion, or support the "rights" of people who do... Best part about this section is that you can't get modded down for your political opinions either... hopefully..
I'll gladly mod you down for you belifs, you homocidal maniac. Just used up this weeks mod points, though.
The 20s are the only notes with any other colors on them, and they are not very noticeable. And they've only been that way for about a year. The rest of our money is green

Do you really think anyone beyond apple fan-boys will actualy base their choice of player on the interface? If it it plays music and is easy to use (and yes, it can be easy to use without using a clickwheel) it will sell.
It might be annoying for ipod users who are used to their interface, but they already have MP3 players...
Is anyone else suprised by how bad diebold's coders are? I mean seriously. I know microsoft can't make their products secure, but they have millions of lines of legacy code and compatability issues. This isn't an excuse, but building a secure system from the ground up should be pretty straight forward, honestly.
Security should have been the top priority the whole way through, but apperantly it wasn't. Pretty amazing, IMO.
And wtf, they can't fix a bug in a year? They're not going to have it fixed by Nov? Jesus, what is it with these people.
Also, this is kind of boring. Anyone involved in the RNC convention or the protests around here?

By the way: 12 minutes of your time should change your mind.
Wow, I might care if I lived in Iraq. But I don't.
A person's comment history is perused, and the comments are clicked on and modded down, regardless of merit.

What's funny to me is that people think we DON'T have a diverse specturm of political ideologies. :-)
Well, I have no idea about that, since you guys don't really talk much about politics on the rest of the site.
You do everything else around here poorly, though so if history is any guide you will probably screw this up too.
Google offers a free blogging system, blogger.
Wouldn't suprise me if they linked the two systems at some point.

I guess that was taken out. What exactly happened? How did he die? and what was the reaction of the other charactes?

Missouri is not a swing state, so this will have no effect on the election.
