There are stories (like this one) that don't make it onto the front page, or onto any of the slashboxes. Checking older stuff or doing a search with no parameters is the only way to find all the stories right now. According to Taco, changing the options to force all the stories to show up on the front is on the "to do list"
I'd sooner see the board, the president, and the chair all be held liable for any criminal activities their corporation is involved in. And include any middle managers and employees who were directly involved in the activities.
Britain's currently having a bit of a problem with a bunch of citizens who've decided to run such people out of their town. They've driven one offender to suicide (which, to be honest, is fine by me), and ran several families out of town who don't have any pedophiles, suspected or otherwise in them. Like the man said, "people are dumb paniky animals", and they're much, much worse once mob mentality sets in.
That is not what I expected. I figured on seeing the actual gameboy advance itself. The screenshots of games for it are nothing surprising. SNES level games, with slightly lower quality display than a tv.
BTW, will this thing play the huge library of (Colour)GameBoy games?
Make sure the cops don't need to take you to the hospital at any time while they have control over you. Who knows what they'll plant in you while you're unconcious??
Ok, maybe it'd be nice to think a person would notice the incision, but even now, it could be made pretty small, in a place you can't see, leaving you thinking it's just an itch...
Good God, let's cut down on the moderators. There's too many of them when they fight back and forth with the scores of posts. This seems to be happening a _lot_ in the last couple days. (and how is post #1 possibly redundant? Moderators need to pass a skill-testing question I think.)
I'm almost wondering if some bug in slash isn't adding to moderator totals when something get's off-topiced. It's getting to the point where >50% of the mods (+ and _) are "off-topic" I've seen comments at score 5 with two off-topics on them. I've seen comments banged twice with off-topic, from to -1 (I can see this, maybe, for a horrendous anti-semitic rant or something, but for something that's responding to a halfway offtopic comment???)
Well, it'll make them implement said filter, wonder how long ago their data was first corrupted, cause customers to ask if the data isn't now useless, and generally be annoying. There are differences, they may not be important to you or to me, but some people may consider them of enough value to create such a gizmo...
If the NT department is that inefficient, why is your company still using it? Surely even dim-witted upper management can be shown *nix department workload/cost ratio versus NT department workload/cost ratio and see where they're spending too much...
What, am I the only one who can remember old Dilbert? Wally knows how to do this, you've just got to find a coworker who either won't notice a missing wall, won't care about a missing wall, or won't argue with you about a missing wall...
As much as we all want to believe that Eidos sinking money into Ion instead of LGlass caused the latter's death, it simply isn't so. Salon has an earlier article where Geoff Keighley points out the basic truth: "Looking Glass folded because it wasn't making money". We all want brilliant games like Tthief and System Shock to make millions, but they don't. Games like Soldier of Fortune and Who Wants to be a Millionare do.
While Eidos didn't help Looking Glass as much as they probably could have, it didn't make economic sense for them to keep a studio whose games were low to negative profit ventures. (I'm not saying sinking $30 million into Daikatana was, but Eidos bad decisions are the reason they themselves are in financial difficulty now.)
Basically, it comes down to this: We can't blame Ion Storm for Looking Glass' demise. (although they may contribute to the possible death of Eidos) We can only blame a market where Barbie Fashion Designer and Bland Genre Clone® are the only things to make large profits.
Isn't Irony fun?
As for offtopic, there'd never be any interesting discussions if everyone stayed "on topic"

But Armageddon came before Episode I. And it sucked waaaaay more too.

I just hope to someday get a 31 minute pizza...
I don't know that many people who can bring themselves to self-inflict...
Lawyers aren't supposed to believe in their cases. They're just supposed to argue their client's side to the best of their ability.
Oh yeah. Its not a sig anyhow. I looked at some of his other posts. Each one has a different tagline, so he's manually doing each one seperately...
Uhm, why? People've responded to mine. If it's posted on a discussion board, its fair game for discussion...

That'd cause a bit of a problem at airports (&highschools too, if you're an American) if it does.
How does one reboot a stroke?
Big Brother doesn't care about you yet because you've not yet tried to be different or incite change...

Mozilla's about as fast as Java
Isn't that kinda like those annoying news announcers saying "so and so is 90 years young today!

Damned slashdot dropped my ID again. I _hate_ anonymous posting...

shouldn't be neccessary. Most people will read/post to the copy with more comments, and the other will die off quickly.
How about working off emmett's comment?
This should happen more often, I think
But not twice within one minute, emmett.
