That would make sense if Microsoft was actually selling windows like Anderson and not an operating system. Same would be true if Apple was a fruit vendor or Yahoo selling rednecks.
Actually - Puffs sells Facial Tissues. Nowhere on their product does it say "Kleenex" and if they did they would be sued. Same goes with Hoover, Band Aids, etc. You will never see a trademark being used legally by another brand.
I'll never understand why people like you spread so much FUD. I mean if you don't like Windows - don't use it. Why make stuff up? And if you make stuff up at least make it logical.
I have a droid with a slide out keyboard AND I have the Dragon FlexT9 app which has amazing voice to text capabilities (better than the built in) and a swype like keyboard.
The article has it right - $429 for WiFi and $499 for both 3G and WiFi. Still seems really steep for an incredibly stripped down barebones laptop with a beta OS on it.
And how do you measure that exactly? What ongoing maintenance and cleanup are you even talking about? I can't think of anything special I do on my home computer.
For a typical user they are nearly identical. Over the years the two OS's have become almost indistinguishable and now that they use pretty much the same hardware the only difference is a matter of preference on where you like your toolbars.
Are you talking about Desktop OS? Are we limited to just ones that people actually use? Wouldn't that just mean Windows and Mac which are pretty much equal in the care department.
It's pretty sad if you think those are more useful than understanding the government who takes 30%+ of your paycheck to do pretty much whatever the hell it wants.
Are you assuming that these shows wouldn't have been canceled if they weren't on an ad/ratings driven channel? I hate to tell you but premium channels care about ratings, too. Ratings mean subscribers.
And I highly doubt they have enough quality content to be a premium channel.
I know people think Microsoft is made up of idiots but do you really think they are buying Skype just to destroy it? They know that the success of an app like this is tied to how many people are using it. If they restrict it to one platform then it will completely fail.
First of all - it is the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission who enforce antitrust laws. Doesn't anybody know how our government works? You know - three branches of government - legislative, judicial, and executive. What did they teach you in school?
Second, there is nothing wrong or unusual with Microsoft buying Skype. If Oracle can get away with all the mergers they've done over the years then I don't see how they could go after Microsoft for this.
Finally, I highly doubt Microsoft will do anything to interfere with the Linux version.
I don't doubt that. I've often said that if Hitler had embraced the Jewish people he would most likely have been the first to have the atomic bomb and we'd all be eating schnitzel.
What exactly was stopping him before? I mean he regularly put out videos to sources that couldn't easily be controlled by the US Government. If he has some grand secret to release that would hurt the US then why wouldn't he have already used it?
Well the question is the definition of evil. Obviously Bin Laden's followers didn't think he was evil and I am sure Eva Braun didn't think Hitler was evil. It's all about perspective. They both may be deranged and misguided but were they evil if they truly believed they were doing the right thing for their people?
You have to remember the circumstances that gave rise to Hitler coming to power. The allies after WWI literally destroyed Germany economically for a war that wasn't really even their fault. The country was ripe for a charismatic, albeit looney, leader to step up. They saw him as a savior against the deprivations they suffered at the hands of the allied nations.
To me somebody who does something wrong and KNOWS that it is wrong is evil (for example, a priest molesting an altar boy). Somebody who does something horribly wrong but truly believes they are doing the right thing is not evil but just delusional.
In my company our software development group is referred to as App Dev and has been since long before the app store.

You realize that HBO GO is free if you are a subscriber to the network already.

I use my phone when I want to look something up that quick. And that is a lot lighter to carry around.
And the bigger question is how many are really stressing about an extra 10-20 seconds at startup?

I am guessing you live in the Midwest because on the coasts Indian and Chinese food, culture, religion, etc is very much accepted and embraced.
And the US doesn't Americanize names anymore. The people choose to do that themselves to make their lives easier.
It would be racism if they didn't allow Chinese-Americans work for NASA either. This is about politics - not race.
And Chinese isn't really a race anyway. It's a nationality.
Yes but the anti-trust laws are already on the books. If he has said write the President and tell him then it would make sense.
So is it fueled by Soylent Green?

I only used 6 because that is what the OP used in his calc.
Pretty sure that $12 divided by 6 is $2.
