I purchased my iMac (15") on eBay from a reseller for about 1300 less than retail - and I love it. I would have bought a nice new one from Apple months before, but they told me they were out of stock / didn't ship when they told me they were / raincheck - from April 02 until I finally went eBay. Lagging sales may be proportional to product availability.
IMHO - I thought spiderman was horrible. Yeah the special effects were cool. But I didn't want to see a puppy love story. In fact, I got up and left, as did several other people in the theater.
The basic concept has been in use for years, using a technique called brachytherapy. They "used" to basically pull a ribbon with tiny nuggests of radioactivity into tumors, and allow the radiation to "spot kill" the cancerous cells. It doesn't take a large concentration, just a focused amount.
When I spec'd out the iMac I bought: $1899.99 plus tax. Purchase price $550 plus shipping. Duh.
