Fingerprints don't lie. When you go to the DMV you already have to give a fingerprint. People who get food stamps have to give a fingerprint. It would be trivial and in fact easier to just use it for voting also. But then the Democrats couldn't commit fraud, so of course they're concerned about how people are being oppressed.
It's controversial because any time some retarded fuckwit welfare loser can't be bothered to go get off his couch and go to the local motor vehicle office to get an ID all the Democrats scream about how he is being deprived of his rights by an oppressive system. So that's why even former Soviet block Eastern European countries have biometric voting and systems that are vastly superior to the United States.
There's so much hypocrisy in this. On the one hand they don't really give a shit about election integrity and very important things to ensure that our elections really are meaningful and accurate. They don't support biometric voter registration which is standard in many countries now. They don't give a shit about vote weight disparity (in Japan some elections have actually been invalidated in their highest court because of such disparity). They don't really give a shit about meaningful election forensics.
Basically this is just more bullshit from people who engage in nothing but bullshit.
Well, welcome to the world/. In the meantime, those of us - who are vegan - who are bicyclists - who opposed the war - etc. - etc. have known about black PR attack and smear campaigns for a really long time.
Not sure what this MSM uproar over "fake news" is about. Is it blowback for the right exposing their coverup of Hillary's seizures? The idea that there is "fake" news sounds like something straight out of some dystopic authoritarian regime. Information is out there. Some is more factual than other. But we live in a society in which no one has the right to censor information of any kind.
This entire "fake news" thing is bullshit, just like the rigged mainstream media in this sick plutocracy.
Everything must be automated and ALL illegals deported. No welfare for flunkies and dropouts. Only those smart enough to program and maintain the machines selected to survive.
I will say this: I think many people myself included simply do not have time for things like social media except for a limited extent. If you're feeling isolated or down about things in the world it can be like a vitamin B12 shot to hang out in the echo chamber for a while. But most people are busy in life.
There are people who seem to make their careers living in social media. I guess if they can do it so much the better. But such people, as widely known as they might be, are rare exceptions. Most people study, have jobs, responsibilities, go hiking, etc.
If you have a balanced life with all these things then you will not need to be weaned off social media because it already will not be able to occupy more than a minimal place in your life. And for that purpose it can be fine I guess.
I remember a time when there were no places like this online where you could engage with people and basically say whatever you want. Out of this some true movements are now growing. Let's see where it goes.
I agree with you on this. Probably NASA and NOAA will discuss ways to transfer some things over.
Another thing also that is not said when discussing this issue: Regardless of any government policies or priorities - every person *can* choose to dramatically limit their carbon footprint if they so choose. For one thing, I recommend going vegan! It not only drastically reduces carbon footprint, it has an enormous range of other benefits both personal, social, environmental, and cultural.
Excellent response. Your points are not just rhetorically good ones, they are philosophically as well.
I'm still watching the video of the Hillary supporters who harassed, mocked, and abused the homeless woman in Hollywood who had been sitting there with a sign supporting Trump. Its so sickening that liberalism has been hijacked by the most disgusting sociopaths who represent that antithesis to actual liberal ideals.
I agree. WTF? Who pays some losers to make posts to dis the Notes? It reminds me of those BS web pages that people get paid pennies to crank out which contain frivolous, crappy content just to get page hits.
I still use a Note 4 with a custom ROM and I love it. The photos it takes are amazing. It performs pretty much every task I want well. The only downside is that it does tend to overheat when used with a GearVR headset and it seems not to be able to handle some highly-graphics-intensive videos well. I notice that newer Galaxy series devices are actually using a lower 12MP camera now. Not sure why since the 16MP on the Note4 is so amazing.
I'm not a heavy SPen user but use it frequently enough that I want one on any future device. I agree with other posters here that a slightly larger size might be a little better, especially for note writing.
I agree. I was thinking about cases where for example a device when purchased is secure and then the user changes the password to "password". If they have the capacity to actually log in to a configuration page and change the password, then they should also be held accountable for weakening the devices security by choosing a bad password.
I agree. Plus a booby trap isn't half as fun as catching some scumbag in the act and getting the satisfaction of spraying the shit out of their eyes with pepper spray and maybe getting in a few really good kicks to the balls for good measure. The idea that they went home after only vomiting doesn't satisfy me. The idea that they're at home at least still partially writhing from stung eyes and aching balls is much better.
Just keep pepper spray and be always be prepared to use it if you see someone tampering with your or anyone else's locked bicycle.
There's no substitute for people being vigilant. Not long ago in San Francisco a guy went up and cut through a bicycle lock with a circular saw in broad daylight, as people walked by. I think there are other more serious problems to worry about.
The lying press worried about lies as it lies.
Hey! You're no supposed to lie! Only *we* are allowed to lie! We own it, bitches.
Therefore if you run a media or technology company and do not support our efforts to curtail minds, you are un-American and we will come after you.
People are too stupid to use their minds the way we want them to, therefore they should not have minds.
Minds are a threat to order and peace.
California also.
Fingerprint and iris or face should become the standard. But make sure all illegals are kicked out first.

You're only now becoming aware/concerned??
Suddenly all this uproar over "fake news".
Hell-effing-o: Magazines like The Enquirer and others have been around for - how long?
*Now* suddenly its a big concern? Because - wait! - the right exposed their coverup of Hillary's seizures.
Not sure what this MSM uproar over "fake news" is about. Is it blowback for the right exposing their coverup of Hillary's seizures? Thank God for Donald Trump.
Drain the swamp!

Re: living in a society with a basic universal income:
Who would want to live in a dysgenic, third-world, overpopulated pile of crap?
The effects of dysgenia are already manifesting and things are starting to get creepy...
Excellent response. Your points are not just rhetorically good ones, they are philosophically as well.

LOL your point is made!

If they have the capacity to actually log in to a configuration page and change the password, then they should also be held accountable for weakening the devices security by choosing a bad password.
not only this but the inept users whose devices get pawned and used to attack other systems should be held legally responsible for the attacks.
"The people that did it." First of all you would use the pronoun "who": The people who did it.
But, who *did* "do* *it*?
What is the it that was done, and by whom?
Was it someone who created the botnet? Was it someone who controlled the botnet and directed it to attack a specific target?
Was it the manufacturers of devices who used crappy chips in their products which were vulnerable?
Was it the manufacturer(s) of the chip themselves for even making such product(s)?
Was it our government for failing to regulate, inasmuch as such chips should not even be allowed to be used in the first place?
Is it us, for allowing our government to fail to regulate, and allowing there to be companies which make and use crappy chips that are vulnerable?
I agree. part of what you wrote is just totally non sequitur. what isn't is straw dog.
just because of A, B, or C in the past doesn't mean a human being shouldn't use its brain to think about D in the present.
if its so important to you find the references yourself. lazy ass fuck.
