The money does not get rocketed into the sun, instead it sits in a billion different projects where it is no longer part of the economy. I have done contract work with the government my whole life, and I can say that while some, even most of the money makes it back to the private sector. Enough of it does die in the public sector though. Also, if you take the difference in how much better the private sector would have utilized that money, you can add that too. Its anti-capitalistic and therefore not helping. But at least you certainly sound like you vote for the right party.

And this other yahoo says that if it was spent on some public works project it would benefit everyone. What public works project has ever targeted more than a very small demographic? And even those would be better off managed by private companies/citizens. Dont force me to pay assloads of money for shit I dont care for. So they can teach schoolkids about homosexuality? So they can pay my next door neighbor to smoke crack all day while I work? (Thats for real, I live in a bad neighborhood). Rob the common man to give to the Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. They pay assloads on new equipment they dont need, then they dont pay any salary so the people that are there suck and dont know anything. Private sector has better people that have to work with less equipment. Sure you might have to work more than 40 hours a week once in a while, but lots of other people in lots of other fields have to do that also. Doctors, Engineers of all types, non computer technicians. I never hear of any of those other fields whine about long hours like I hear computer people bitch.
