I don't understand why they have to move to YAF(Yet another format) when they can just have DVD-Audio discs with 5.1DD/DTS sound that will play on most dvd players already and make the transition easier. Not that I need higher quality sound anyway, seeing as how mp3, which is below cd-quality, is good enough for me.
How powerful a console is, is irrelevant, look at the N64 vs. PS vs. Saturn, N64 had better 3d capabilities, saturn had better 2d capabilities, PS was somewhere in the middle and won because of the games! Graphics are irrelevant for the most part as long as you can capitvate an audience(graphics can help in achieveing that however)
I hate dubbing which ruins the directors original vision of the movie(usually...there are some exceptions where directors re-dub movies) let alone changing the whole thing around! This is bad bad news...hopefully not a sign of things to come(all major anime dvd releases will be 'westernized')
I have always thought that a public performance requires that you are somehow profiting from it. I mean people blast music in their car so loud they probably have no hearing left but that is perfectly legal...

I don't know about eliminating Internet webcasters, but maybe moving them to other countries? But it would definately be the end of internet radio in the US. And with all these crazy restrictive laws on content the US seems to be proposing lately I wouldn't be suprised if the whole tech industry moved away.
I have a (hopefully wrong) gut feeling on this one. But, what good is a law if no one follows it? How many people are going to actually follow this law, if passed?
There is an option in media player to _disable_ this. Although it is on by default that would explain why the directory Media Index\ does not exist on my PC.
And you should be too, I tell everyone I know about how are rights as citizens are eroding more and more every day. But, no one listens to me? "Ignorance is bliss" I suppose. I try to tell people but everyone either doesn't care at all or shrugs and says that we need to give up freedoms to stop terrorism. All of this is utter bullcrap and has been implanted into peoples minds by the propaganda machine. I am going to write an essay on the whole topic matter now...
Trillian can connect to multiple IM networks so the people who use trillian might be more apt to switch to the competition such as MSN or yahoo as it is not a big deal. AOL could be shooting themselves in the foot so to speak.
Right here

Yeah, but the whole point of minidisc is that you can copy your own music onto it

Windows XP's Japanese IME does have a character recognition system for pen input look for 'IME pad', granted, I don't have a pen to try it out
You can always conceal hidden messages in images or other files(or spam) so the FBI won't notice
Too bad I'm not old enough to vote yet
The US will no longer be the leader in technology as the laws will be too restrictive and dire consequences will occur...

I don't know any business that actually uses XP, every corporation I know uses 2000 and doesn't plan on upgrading any time soon...
MSNBC is owned by microsoft and NBC while CNN is owned entirely by AOL-Time Warner, who do you trust ?

Definately "News for nerds. Stuff that matters"
Who are they going to hire to look at the source code? And what if this person is just paid off by microsoft or maybe even working for microsoft?
Acutally I meant to make it a link but by the time I realised my mistake I had already posted it, oh well -=/

I havent watched TV since I have had broadband internet access and have been able to download any show anyway
This is the _exact_ reason divx failed.
