Why not? Then they can start working on that great human utopia where we all fuck ourselves up the ass to procreate. Sexuality, race, genitalia, hell everything we are will be ambiguous.
14. All for One and One for All
Vista came out in so many versions that even Chuck Norris was bewildered. There should only be three, Home, Business/Pro, and Server. This would lessen the current Windows ambiguity.
Which is it? One for all or not? Why should there be different versions of the OS at all? Server I can understand but desktop? This is one area that Vista was hurt in.
True but what exactly does that mean? They are working on behalf of the shareholders. There is such a notion as long-term vs. short-term. Having the Evil Empire gobble you up and squander your goodies will make your shareholders rich now but the company and all of the IP it had will become a husk of a it's former self later. Not to mention what it does to their technology. In this case, its a matter of the shareholders getting a nice slice of pie. If they're smart enough to sell off their stake then yes, they'll be fine. If they cling to their new MS stock will it be good for them? Who knows? I'm not sure it's in the best interest of the shareholders of Yahoo! because ultimately they simply become MS shareholders. Wanna be a MS shareholder? Go by their stock.
I may not agree with everything this law entails but it's interesting to me that any attempt to be critical of evolution is immediately vilified by the bastions of critical thinking.
Of course, the above statement will immediately be modded down and I'll be retorted by those who will assume my position is contrary. We all have to be on a team, don't we?
And they were still wrong. Property rights should be an inherent right of citizenry and thus should be constitutionally vetted. The whole point of owning your land is that it is yours, as opposed to the King's. Thus, the ruling should very well be federal reaching.
MySpace is hideous so that's not surprising. Facebook, OTOH, while better looking simply isn't intuitive. For all of the talk about "applications" I largely don't use them because they're not obvious.
Thank you! Not that anyone gives a shit about facts that don't support their hate here. These folks need their daily dose of "Bush Hatuh" to keep themselves relevant.
It sounds like typical media scare. Think of all of the stories you see in the paper or on the news about "man with a gun." It's as if the mere presence of a gun denotes wrong doing.
Maybe it's time for some viral civil disobedience. Dual-layer DVD's hold a fair amount of music. Maybe we need to start burning our music collections and leaving them in public places for people to scarf. Hell even a SL-DVD would be enough to get a fair amount out there.
I never see this on my primary GMail account, though. Usually, Google catches most spam for me.
Now Yahoo! is another matter.
I was shocked to check a rarely-used Gmail account today and find 10K emails caught as spam and another 10K NOT caught. This is unlike Gmail. :(

Viva la difference! WTF is wrong with people?
That would explain why no one is moving to Windows 2008 either.

Because Microsoft has an entitlement mentality when it comes to technology. They want it because they want it.
I cannot conjure up enough evil to fitfully bestow upon Microsoft.

Dolly Parton was 69 lbs over weight. The doctor said that's 222 much! You need to lose 51 x 8 days. That left her:
6922251x8=55378008
Thank you for offering an excellent example of my point.
I'd like to agree with you, but as long as we pay property taxes we don't actually own our land. Its just something we're renting from the government.
Touché!

They have been for years. How well do your kids know American History?

Much like bigotry and intolerance, sabotage is acceptable when you agree with the motivation.
Dude! If you want the average /.er to do something you need 2 things:
1)The promise of a real date with a real girl
2)A HotPockets gift pack!
Yep! And you were modded "Flamebait" immediately. They're nothing if not predictable.
Ah but they're not evil!
For me its a matter of good and evil. Microsoft is not a good company.

I would think the inclusion of messages like "Are you sure you want to shutdown?" would be a clear indication of how low Windows set the bar.
So you hit it!?
