you can use PDFLib : http://www.pdflib.com/ but it's pretty ugly.

the nicer solution would be to use XML-FO but I'm not sure what the PHP support is like.

couldn't see that one coming! anyway the new popup is the 'I'm going to take up you whole screen with a horrible great big flash ad which you can't close for 10 seconds, and will probably press the back button to get rid of me' type ad

  5. Re:Sorry, Mozilla is TOO good on Opera 6.0 for Linux Released · · Score: 1

The Opera engine is good, but far from perfect. In every new release they seem to be ignoring half of the ECMA DOM. This is very frustrating as a web developer and is stopping us from moving forward, or preventing us from fully supporting Opera in our applications.

  6. Re:MSIE for mac on Mac OS X Slow for Web Browsing? · · Score: 1

    meh!!!

IE isn't slow on windows! Or not that I've noticed. IE6 runs faster on some of the shitty P2 300 gimp(test) machines we've got in our office than Mozilla/IE5 does on all of our Macs.

  7. busted!!! on Microsoft's Guide to Accepting Donated PCs · · Score: 2, Funny

"It is a legal requirement that pre-installed operating systems remain with a machine for the life of the machine"

"The following should be included with the donation of the PC.
All copies of the software on original disk or CD, including back-up and/or recovery materials"

So does this mean that in the event of your PC going horribly wrong (I mean it never happens to windows, but just say it did...) you might have to re-format and use your backup cd. in the time that you have no OS on your pc (because you just formatted the HD duh!) you are liable to be *BUSTED* by the powers that be?

good work guys. and they probably had a dedicated anti-piracy team to do this!

  9. am i the only one... on AOL To Finally Switch To Mozilla? · · Score: 1

who thinks netscape 6 won't be good for AOL? yes it renders HTML/CSS/Javascript very well, possibly better than IE6/Opera, but the problem is, it crashes more than IE6 and runs much slower on Windows. AOL users will probably be annoyed that the new version of AOL will run slower and crash more often (is that actually possible!!!) than the previous version. I hindsight, anything which is bad for AOL is a good thing!
