I am a high school student and took a course through a vocational center for Network+ and iNet+ certification. I received 900 on both exams (perfect score), yet don't feel as if I know much about networking at all beyond the basic "this is a Cat5 cable" and "this is how to configure a network interface in Windows." The fact that anyone can get a perfect score, let alone a teenager like myself who does computer stuff as a hobby, shows how meaningless these certifications really are.
I think this is a case where one would use the right tool for the job. While google may be good for 99% of all searches, searching by shape may work for the few things that are hard to find on google.
Thanks Taco! Now, thanks to your creations of yet another link to this blog, the meaning of the phrase can be contorted even MORE, all thanks to the help of Page Ranking!
This is why free/open source software is such as good idea. Thousands (millions?) of people determine what they want in the software, not a company trying to sell a product. This is why open source will win: while MS^H^H large companies try to market new software by leaving big gaps in their products, free software will have all the feautres a user ever will need.
...yes

You can bet that nobody wants to watch my home videos.
Post a link to slashdot and you can rest assured that a lot of people are interested in your...."home videos."
You forgot the link:

Best of all, a lot of slashdotters have an abundant supply of forehead grease for super heat conduction!
I don't think they would even have to have the Pepsi ad -- they should still pay me a nickel for listening to Britney Spears.
Anyone up for a game of rock-paper-scissors....er, AC-computer-Electric Company?
...Never mind. It doesn't quite have the same ring to it, now does it?
Only half?
Who the hell do you think these companies hire? Nobodies?
Given how many people post on Slashdot during daylight hours, no.

Hey everybody! I just got a new computer that's 6000 times faster than the Internet! Wow!
The biggest majority of users...
...as opposed to the smallest majority?
Hmm....can I get a Google cache of the Google cache of the...
Never mind.
"Protect those nearby"?? Isn't the whole point of these things to annoy the hell out everyone in a 10 mile radius?

It just plain works.
You're not the only one who took this path. Gentoo works great! :-)
Thanks for the tip, Bill.
