First, the horror of Nazi Germany was the industrial-scale murder of millions of members of minorities (not only Jews) by a modern, generally educated Western society that started out as a democracy but hit economic hard times and had an overinflated national ego. This should be a warning to any nation that thinks "it can't happen here".

I think that says more than anything that it's almost already happening here.

Being able to do this allows people to steal and use phones, thereby causing 1000's of crimes.

Ha ha ha...sorry, I'm laughing at your post... okay...

Anyway, let me get your logic here. A man, willing to break the law to steal a phone, then, willing to break the law to sell it, and in doing so, willing to break the law by committing fraud to customers who believe they are buying a legal phone, as well as willing to break the law to commit fraud against the phone company...this man, will feel deterred by another law?

This is the odd belief that tossing more and more years on someone will keep it from happening. I'm sorry to say it, but more laws don't stop criminals, it's the application and execution of those laws. Before we make more of them, let's insure that people get tossed in the jail, before trying to add years.

For a non-troll answer, we're attacked because our political leaders have support for Israel, which is totally missing all throughout Europe, which has a long history of anti-semitism.

And just because we get the BIG attacks doesn't mean we get all of them. I mean, I don't know about you, I consider assassination attempts to be a form of terrorism. Especially when they come from supporters of a fringe extremist candidate.

Furthermore, we get attacked because we are, as the old saying goes, the "King of the Hill", being at the top of the list of military powers. That generally draws people to attack.

One last thing, as well. Please stop talking about our ignorance and blah blah blah, just because we believe people in China should be given basic human rights. Aren't Europeans and Canadians always the ones blasting us in the UN for NOT trying to build human rights. Oh, yeah, I guess if we fought for human rights, you'd have to find some other issue to focus your hatred on.

All I have to say is that Christianity is the largest and most successful cult of all history. It is a cult because of the following reasons:

    1) Its centered around the teachings of a single, charismatic leader
    2) It demands total obediance from you.
    3) It enforces those demands through thorough scare tactics. ("If you don't act like a real Christian, you'll go to hell!")
    4) It, as an organization, demands more people join. (When I asked a pastor what the most important thing a pastor could do is, he replied "Witness". What is witnessing? It's the soft way to describe the mandate the church has to "grow it's flock" by kindness, coercion, or threats...like being your friend and slowly inserting it into conversations, bombing abortion clinics, or saying that "You could die tomorrow, join Christianity or feel the harsh eternal wrath of my God who happens to love you!")

The only reason Christianity isn't popularly called a cult is that it is the largest cult ever, and so many people in "high places" are also members. (I bet if there was a Branch Dividian Senator, Waco would've never happened). You will never see a Congressional debate on almost any bill where someone doesn't bring up God in some way or form.
