    Presumably welfare recipients do spend their welfare cheques on taxable goods? (Which generally increase the profits of the companies, which means that there's more income coming in to the "rich" people, which means that the company could expand and then there would be a job created for the welfare recipient).

    Working 16-20 hours a day doesn't make you an excellent programmer. It means that there's been a massive failure to plan properly somewhere along the line.

    No human being can keep up that rate for any sustained period of time and still perform at the same level.

    Not directly doing business with them, but by bumping up the visitor numbers allows them to charge more for the ads and increases their profile.

    Can you provide some backup where PHONE content filtering has proved to be ineffective?

    Seems to me that the difference between this and the internet is that the (potentially dodgy) content providers have to go through the phone companies themselves, so they will all be screening this stuff (and adding the filter) themselves, rather than relying on the content provider to do it.

    ...but if the dictator is democratically elected, then where's the problem for the US?

    It just makes Bush seem even more of a hypocrite when he talks about spreading democracy to the middle east, but only wants them to elect leaders that he approves of.
