    Please see my reply to your other comment. Compaw doesn't own Altavista, they used to.

    I do have to agree with you about the hipocracy, it's the same type of thing as how we don't really get any "doubleclick are bad, mmmkay" stories since Slashdot started using them. Similar to the "web-bug" stories. All the stories are trolls, saying what the slashdot hordes want to hear to try and get the most eyes looking at banners to make more money for VA Linux. Well if their results are anything to go buy, we're going to see a lot more of it...

    Digital created Altavista, Compaq bought Digital and gained Altavista then Compaq sold Altavista to this CGMI bunch.

    Coming from an American I find it a bit whiney to moan that it's not the will of the American people, it's the government. Well let me get this straight, it's your government so you take responsibility. I thought it was in your constitution that if the government was totally despised then you could take up your arms and overthrow it. It's because of the apathy of you and your mechanic friend that you all just sit back and take it. Sorry, it doesn't wash (and RIP has got nothing to do with copy protection).

It's not as if you're paying for the service is it? and if you really want to get hold of nazi memorabilia, then I'm sure there's someone who will sell it to you. In case you hadn't realised you have actually got freedom of choosing where you shop as much as the shops have got the freedom of deciding what they sell.
