I'm sure that I saw a colour Next. Got nothing to back that claim up with but my memory, but I remember thinking it looked a lot cooler than the VGA of the time.
Funny definition of dead really. I would have thought that the number of users was a better measure. Obviously I've just missed the 'insight' in your comment.
Please see my reply to your other comment. Compaw doesn't own Altavista, they used to.
I do have to agree with you about the hipocracy, it's the same type of thing as how we don't really get any "doubleclick are bad, mmmkay" stories since Slashdot started using them. Similar to the "web-bug" stories. All the stories are trolls, saying what the slashdot hordes want to hear to try and get the most eyes looking at banners to make more money for VA Linux. Well if their results are anything to go buy, we're going to see a lot more of it...
Where were you in your current election then? From what I know of your (beloved) constitution, that didn't look right at all.
When are you planning to march on Washington with your gun? Please let us know, I'm sure the rest of the world could do with another laugh at the Americans.
Oh come on, in the Gulf war, and Kosovo, you Yanks killed plenty of us "Limeys". I don't know if it was on purpose or not, or just if all that complicated equipment was a bit much for your mental capacity of a monkey armed forces.
Oh yeah, competition in standards is good isn't it. I mean how could the internet work at all if everyone was forced to use the same standard to access it. (TCP/IP)
Regardless of all that though the point remains that we (Europeans) have got copy-protectionless digital TV here and now.
Coming from an American I find it a bit whiney to moan that it's not the will of the American people, it's the government. Well let me get this straight, it's your government so you take responsibility. I thought it was in your constitution that if the government was totally despised then you could take up your arms and overthrow it. It's because of the apathy of you and your mechanic friend that you all just sit back and take it. Sorry, it doesn't wash (and RIP has got nothing to do with copy protection).
That's good, we've almost got a coherant sentance out of you, turrettes boy. Now please try again. If you want you can say something relevant, interesting is probably too much to ask for, but it looks like you need all the communication practice you can get.
Oh yeah I laugh at those morons as well, imagine the stupidity of doing something else with your life than sitting there hitting refresh all day, slowly growing fatter and loosing all human contact.
At least when they do knock down a wall to lift you into the outside world with a crane, they will all hear, through the laboured breath, "woo-hoo, I'm the master". Make a nice epitaph as well. "Anonymous Cowerd c1985-2001 He got first post".
Yahoo can sell whatever they want on their auction sites, they really don't owe you a thing. It's not as if you're paying for the service is it? and if you really want to get hold of nazi memorabilia, then I'm sure there's someone who will sell it to you. In case you hadn't realised you have actually got freedom of choosing where you shop as much as the shops have got the freedom of deciding what they sell.
World Wide Web, sorry to break it to you, but different parts of the world are in different timezones.
I'm sure that I saw a colour Next. Got nothing to back that claim up with but my memory, but I remember thinking it looked a lot cooler than the VGA of the time.
If you're that interested, why don't you look into it?

I meant compaq not compaw. Damn fingers.

Surely you mean ever since Compaq STOPPED holding the reins?
Digital created Altavista, Compaq bought Digital and gained Altavista then Compaq sold Altavista to this CGMI bunch.
Must resist urge to make joke about Hairy Potter beating his one with five digits....
Ridiculous drug laws is why you've got such a high percentage of people in jail.
I think that that's the point the original poster was trying to get across.

According to this (the site linked to from sci-fi), most of the rumours are wrong.

What sort of credibility are you refering to?
And waz zis supper computer only waffer thin?
A very lame rip-off of Satirewire. A bit more originality next time please...

Don't know why I'm arguing for the French, being English, but they have got the right to buy memorabilia. Just not the right to advertise the fact.

Brilliant argument, you've really convinced me with that one. Any more grunts you want to share with the group?

How far do you take it though, surely you wouldn't include the "what is this openlinuxbsdnix" question.
We can all work a search engine and navigate our own way around the internet thankyou very much, KTB.
1) Rover, if Labour was the same as the communists surely they would have bailed out and re-nationalised Rover, rather than seeing them get shat on.
2) What are you on about?
3) Are you trying to diss the pound by saying it's the same value as your dollar? Step back and think about it for a minute...
