Yeah. But it also seems unlikely that people would purchase higher priced new books when the lower-priced used book link is right there.
BS. I like to have new books. I have a nice bookshelf I'd like to fill even more. Maybe not the hardback copies($25 is a bit much), but I buy (non-used) paperbacks all the time. I wouldn't buy used unless I had to.
I like to reread books. Or maybe I want my girlfriend to check it out. I don't like used books, normally. Why? Quality of the book. Used books aren't always in good shape.
I agree with your point about the time in between them, but for every used book sold, it has to have been bought once new. If someone is going to buy a cheaper used book, what does it matter if they buy it one month, or ten months, or a decade, after the book is released?
If they're going to buy a cheaper, used book anyway, the timetable doesn't matter.
Maybe, but the general drones who use Microsoft software don't always go out and update their hardware often.
Take my parents - all they want is something that gets them to their e-mail. They could care less about the newest video card, sound card(my dad just turns the speakers off), or an Athlon 1.8Ghz XP Processor.
But people who are really into computers to the extent they upgrade a lot, probably don't just use Windows. Unless they're a gamer.
"We haven't received one e-mail in support of the Hollings bill," said Judiciary Committee spokeswoman Mimi Devlin.
In other news: Duh.
People (who use computers that would be stripped down by this) aren't going to run off to e-mail these idiots all happy about the fact Hollings has bent them over and is aiming for penetration.
Wouldn't that be RTFA?
