With every AMD processor release, they publish benchmarks, in addition to the benchmarks from toms hardware, Hardocp, anantech, and a slew of others. I was shopping one day, and noticed a set of Intel benchmarks touting the P4's. But when you looked closley.. you noticed that Intel benchmarks the pentiums AGAINST THEMSELVES... the P4's on the bar chart were rated very high. Against the pIII. It sickens me. Anyone with any tech skills knows that AMD puts out better chips, and I think this report is just intels way of trying to draw heat of them in light of AMD's new Hammerhead chip. Intel is running scared
Spectors license agreement...
on
Spy v. Spy
·
· Score: 1
althought IANAL...
The legal ramifications go on and on...In Spector's license agreement says that you have to notify anyone who uses the computer that the spyware is installed.. (doesnt that negate the point) then they go on to list all types of magazine and news paper articles about how people have used the software to catch cheating spouses and such... either the spouse is stupid, or the were never told.. so the license agreement is not being upheld by the installer.
It seems that if the person installing the software violates the eula and installs the software in secret.. they could be liable for invasion of privacy. Whats more concerning is that Spector seems only to pay lip service to their own license agreement..
Microsoft convinces the DOJ that all email servers HAVE to be exchange... so they can enforce return reciepts on the email papers they are serving...
Next stop, outlook becomes a federal regulation on all computers...
please not the preview pane.. anything but the preview pane...
The day its released... without a doubt.. I dont have the cracked beta. But I have already preordered my copy. Blizzard makes GOOD games.. the reason you pirate games is because every half ass developer out there gets an engine, changes some skins, and rolls it out the door. Im not paying for every piece of crap that comes into ebworld.. But if I get a pirated game that plays good.. I buy it. Blizzard gets the benifit of the doubt. As far as the bnetd thing, when you buy a blizzard game, it says free internet play on bnet.. not bnetd.. while I like the idea of other servers.. someone should prolly have dropped blizzard an email post production.
Blizzard could have sent bnetd a ascii "the finger" at the end of the email and I would still be buying war3 (already paid for) but my point is.. when other companys were giving us crap.. they gave us diablo.. starcraft.. diabloII.. they give us good games.. we should be trying to help them or work with them... not getting butthurt because they hurt our feelings..
SUPPORT COMPANYS THAT MAKE GOOD GAMES!!
I have not had 1 bad ecs k7s5a board... I have put about 15 in systems now, and everyone I got worked... even though i bought them from FRYS ELECTRONICS.... and your lucky to get 2-3 of anything to work and not have to take it back at frys.. So i was very impressed...
If your running pc133 ram thats cas3... buy better ram.. Anyt decent ram your going to buy is to be cas 2 or 2.5... But dont buy ram on sale at frys electronics and expect miracles...
The article was ok, but the testers leave alot to be desired, it doesnt look like they paid much attention to bios settings, they said that they were stuck running the sis745 chipset at 2.5 cas latency. The sis chipsets come set at 2.5 default.. but you can change the setting in the bios depending on what kind of ram you put in. The fact that they diddnt bother changing a bios setting to show the potential of the board says something. While some may say that the cas should autoconfigure to spd.. its a simple setting to change. I have a ECS 735 that runs cas2 although I had to manually change it.
If you spend the time to get to know your motherboard.. you can usually get all kinds of performance out of it.. Dont just plug it in and expect to beat the benchmarks.
So how many of your little robot kits will it take me to make my own madcat?... Or better... a squad of destroyer droids... but could george lucas sue me under the dmca for copying the destroyer droids?
Do you run X on the 486... probably not.. if you do a full install of redhat 7.2 and run x, your looking at 2.8 gig install, and running x, the system resources are going to be real similar...
a blue screen domino effect... starts with one, and next thing you know, its a sea of blue screens.
The problem with MS clusters is that stability really becomes a question... a crash spreads like an infection...
Im reminded of a few years ago.. when I would see primetime newscasts about movies being traded in irc. I always liked the way you could tell the newscaster diddnt have a clue about what he was saying.
aparently these "hackers" trade movies in the deepest corners of the internet, a place known as "irc". we have learned that these "hackers" deprive hollywood of billions of dollars every day as people "hack" and trade camcorder versions of movies even before they are released to the good hardworking peoples of america in theaters.
so its a little easier than it used to be with vhs... like there are more than 2-3 shows on tv worth recording. unless someone has the entire first season of farscape for me?
With all software, movies, and such, you are entitled to 1 personal backup copy. It seems that it would be hard to manufacture your own GBA cartridges... This just allows you to make a copy in case your little brother flushes your favorite game down the toilet...
Is it just me or does it seem like every company is suddenly pretending they are bearing the cross of piracy.. How long before you have to buy gamesharks on the black market?? Before your aftermarket controller for your ps2 is infringing on sony's right to sell you their controller.

just go rent the southpark movie...
Perhaps you could explain to us again what this article is all..... ABOUT?
