    Any buisness not wanting to be the next chapter 11 best comply to standard, else shun 30% of all users in the US. Being on AOL may make you a less likely candidate for a computer security consultant but it does not prevent you from spending money online.

    Lets not forget the new nForce chipset based on DDR333 capible of up to 5.33GB/s. This is probably now the fastest chipset availible (soon to be) for socket A. This with the new GeForce 4 and the new Athlon XP should make for some interesting benchmarks.

    Since losing the use of his vision system and computer memory several weeks ago, he said, he cannot concentrate and is behaving differently.

    "they" have seem similar occurrences in individuals that often use PDA to jot down things in that some individuals tend become dependant on the technology. I am sure this case is making for an interesting study, but I am more curious on learning more about some of the devices he has wired himself into and how he uses them. So far this is probably the best link I have found detailing the technologies he is using.

    Why not first use the technology as a replacement for camo paint. I am sure the nanotransisters themselves may not weigh that much but my guess would be that the entire getup would be heavy and probably does not disperse body heat well. It would however be useful as a cover for army tanks and the likes due to the many color terrains/roads etc. and the over all difficulty of frequently changing the color.

    Unfortunatly, I don't see any standard for choosing and selecting online stations.

    They have satellite radio subscription services. You can pick up satellite antennas/receivers for your car and some high end CD players/head units come satellite capable. Good for people who live in the sticks and don't like country music.

    I like the come of the new smaller form factors. They can be used for smaller tasks like replacing the clunky 486's that some people call routers or tweaked out and taken to lan parties.

    seriously, I must have a cd-r with almost every Linux and BSD distro released in the last 3 years. as well as tons of backups. I've got hundreds of CD's piled on racks. I have only 1 writable CD containing music.

    A better solution would be to use a higher-level language so you don't have to worry about allocating and freeing memory, overrunning arrays, etc

    If MS _does_ produce a windows OS without IE imbedded in the OS wouldn't it be easiest to use the gecko rendering engine? Not to assume that vendors would ship without IE, but MS legal issues may be part of AOL's basis for this decision. AOL owns Netscape anyway, the decision kind of makes sense.

    when someone posted the story to the last clear PC mod, the site went down almost instantly and the webmaster just removed the files. Someone posted the link to the page statistics and I believe it was somewhere in the 80,000 range for the short time it was up.

    I grow tired of the education system in this country and the monopoly the government is turning into. I am tired of paying taxes to police the world just to become a target myself for living here. I have been looking into an alternative English speaking nation but still lack the needed research to make an informed decision. This move by the DoD is the straw that... er, anyone want to recommend a good country or a good source of information for this sort of thing?
