Negative, because you have to read the license and agree to it BEFORE you pay any money to the Apple store, where as a shrinkwrap license you've already payed for the product.
I agree with the second part of your post, but not the first. Apple produces Apple computers, a brand of computer. To say Apple has a monopoly over their own product is to say chevy has a monopoly on Chevy Blazers.
Unfortunately, it really doesn't. Preinstalling non essential software and then not allowing the use to remove it without jumping through hoops is on the other hand.
There is a difference though between quicktime at the system level and the quicktime player. Delete the player, and the only thing that can call quicktime calls now are apps.
Well here's the thing to consider, emergency calls didn't exist a few years ago. Did doctors get by then? If so there's no reason they can't now. There's still pagers, and if worst comes to worst, they can designate an emergency profession band.
The mics have improved. They're good enough that you can whisper and the other person can here you fine. The problem is, people are such "incredibily self centered" that the rest of the world melts away when they're on a cell phone. But it's not just that. There's no reason why a phone should ring in the middle of a lecture or a concert. There's no reason to talk on your phone during a movie. You're right, you do have a right to free speech, but you don't have a right to be disruptive. And since most places that would impliment this are PRIVATE institutions, you have no right to free speech in their building anyway.
If emergency medical people are on the scene, I'm sure the system will be turned off. As for doctors, well they need to get a pager or find a non disruptive way of being notified. As for hotels, well that's too fucking bad isnt it.
Why would God want to force people to worship him? How is that love? Or to put it another way, do you force your pets to do everything you want them to do?
figure out a way to get the keyboards they use on their TiBooks into a desktop style keyboard. After getting used to typing on this keyboards I can't stand using any other keyboard.
Very wrong. You can downlaod and use iTunes without agreeing to any contract other than the basic software EULA present in the software, which is provided to you BEFORE you install, and which if you disagree to, imposes no costs on you. You can eve use the music store freature of iTunes.
Now, if you want to BUY music from the music store, then you have to sign up with the music store, and BEFORE you do that, and BEFORE you pay money, you are presented with a contract regarding the use of products which you buy from the store. If you do not accept those terms, you can not BUY from the store, but you lose no money. If you do accept those terms you can buy from the store, but you are then bound by that contract which was presented to you PRE SALE
Money. Plain and simple. It's still more money efficient to build more lines and more plants than to wait for or fund the science behind alternative energy. When science yields a cost effective solution and it gets mass produced, then we'll see a swtich.
Admitedly, I haven't traveled out of the country much, but I was under the impression that most places you visited outside North America required fingerprints and a photo anyway. I always thought that was part of getting a passport.
I don't think that's nessesarily the case. You can run a sever in a standard tower computer, and a guarantee that towers outsell rackmount servers, but that doesn't make the desktop the de facto market for severs. It's a matter of use. And since a gaming laptop will have crappy battery life and heavy weight, I don't see people buying them for the same reasons someone buys an IBM X series or a powerbook.
Problem is, in order to have tested and developed this, he had to have performed it himself.
You also agreed to those conditions before you paid the money for it.

A bigger hard drive?

Because he created us? Don't you love the things you create? Or do you look down on your children for being lesser beings?

Eh, sorry it was OS 8 not 9, and we used one of these:

Just becasue you can get it to run doesn't mean it's a good idea. I was able to get OS 9 running on an LC III, but it ran like shit.

Given that power is mostly a state run problem, don't you think you should be bitching localy as opposed to bitching about the money in Iraq?

If you don't particularly mind DRM, then what's your complaint about
It's a microsoft internal standard as opposed to an open standard?
is there any good answer to that problem?
Email apple and have them deauthorize it

Because the only people that would dare vote for Nader are Democrats right?
Better.

Laptops outselling desktops I have no doubt of. But for gaming rigs, I don't think laptops are going to become a major market.
And what happens when you want to run that game at a lower resolution?
