  1. Intersting on Sea Gliders for Other Worlds · · Score: -1

There is no way possible that a sea glider can run Linux. The user would have too much trouble remembering how to type in the commands to get it working. Sea Gliding will never be open source, it is just too complicated for an average Linux user to understand. What difference does it make anyway? Every Linux minion just downloades source code because they can. Do you think that their small testicles can understand it? Having the Source code is like having a big cock. It is useless if you don;t know what to do with it. Bill Gates may have a small penis, but he sure knows how to use it (truse me I know).

Give me a break. SBC is being the biggest hypocrite of all. Everyone bitches and moans about M$ doing stuff that they have been doing for years.

Let's face it M$ made a product that was accepted by the masses, bad business or not, they did it. They have the OS and that will give them an advantage over any competitor that tries to realese software for it. You can stuff penalities up Bill Gates' ass, but in the end it will not make a difference.

So they have an advantage, but get over it. M$ tried to do the same shit the SBC is whining about with MSN, but what good did it do them? AOL still took over, because MSN is ass. It IS possible to make a competing product. Just make it appeal to people. Wordperfect is not a defunct program having to peddle its crappy self to Linux diehards in retail bundles of the OS because M$ shut them out . . . the program sucks anus, Corel even knows this.

Everyone needs to get off this M$ crap. I am sick of hearing about it. Crybabies!

That is what I do not understand. If Apple wants to be so closed source with their OS and other hardware, I can see the point, but this is a freaking monitor!

The Apple displays look a million time better than anything I have seen out there. Why would they want to shut themselves out of an entire market when they could really move these things to the PC market (I know I'd buy one in a second). Apple always did stuff like this, and that is why their market share is so low. They make absolutley incredible products, but you have to buy them on the "condition" that it be only used with "their" hardware. Stupid as hell.

Also, those signal converters are crap. I have an old Powermac 6500 as a alternate surfing machine while I am dead in Counterstrike. I paid 50.00 for a Mac/VGA converter, and I had a bitch of a time getting it working, and MAc OS will not let me use certain resoultions and refresh rates even though the monitor can handle it.

Do people actually wonder why the MAc is so far behind in market share?

I think the governmnet should invest tons of money into this program and others like it. I mean, it will be usable technology in only 100 years or so. The scientists are probably at the stage where the robot can figure out how to wipe its own ass. They have a long way to go before that thing can clean up festering bacteria!

There should also be robots in all public bathrooms to clean crap chips off of people after they have an attack of the shits, then when smelly old people that work at my job dump, I don't have to smell it.

I think it looks cool. Al throughout my college life I was using some variation of the Ti calculator. You'd be amazed how much this thing could do. Someone mentioned how easy it was to program for; It couldn't be any cooler to program for this thing. Our Discrete (sp?) Math teacher gave us assignments every week doing all kinds of stuff with it. The language looks like a really stripped down version of BASIC, and it works pretty well (although it relied heavily on GOTO statements, which can become a major mess). Making small programs on it was pretty easy and fun. Also this thing is a Cheaters best friend. I would have not passed 50% of my college courses without being able to type in formulas and notes and store it in memory (tedious as hell, but it works). Professors just think it is a normal calculator. (I don't know what that says about my education, but that is another story).
