    I use Lotus Notes on Linux all the time (I shelled out for Crossover Office, but wine works too - it's just more work to set up). I runs find to - well, just as good as on Windows anyway.

    Wow. The timing on this article is uncanny. I installed Beagle yesterday, and I'm already addicted to it - it indexes documents, mail and web pages as they're accessed, and updates it search results in real time.

    This is rubbish. Japan's one of the top ten military spenders in the world. The only difference is, they don't have an army or navy, just a 'self defence force' 250,000 people strong.

    The more recent releases of Solaris 8 do include many of the GNU utilities.

    There is also a useful tool at www.sunfreeware.com named pkg-get. This provides an interface similar to debian's apt-get for sunfreeware's collection of Solaris software
