    except the gamecube cant claim pirated games are making costs of software go up. The disc's are nonstandard, and are read backwards from normal cd's/dvd's(not spin backwards, like some people ahve said..they are read outside to in..or is it inside to out..regardless, it's opposite the cd/dvd standards)

    around the same timea s the PC version of Halo...3 months..what? you bought an xbox just because of Halo? so sorry, maybe you should have paid more attention to the fact that xbox is basically a pc and 95% of the games will be ported to pc.

    I'd say 3 out of 4 of those are correct. I don't agree with source code is useless..Maybe source code is useless to 99% of the people who use the application.

    this is ridiculous. While I have no doubts that US bombs killed civilians, most of the international media got their #'s from Al-Jazeera which is the SAME allegedly non-biased middle eastern media(based in Qatar) that refused to air a Bin Laden interview because he basically admitted Al Qaeda participation in the WTC terrorism. Their numbers are biased and obviously inflated. On the other hand, the US government most likely is undercounting civilian casualties..The true number is probably a small percentage of what Al Jazeera reports, but most likely higher than any US government reports.

    easy, you aren't the developer. Miguel obviously has pride in what he is doing. now if you don't have pride in using the framework to develop future applications, don't do it. He doesn't force you.

    I'm all for anyone that does something he enjoys, regardless of whether people accept it or not..That's the whole reason Linus wrote the linux kernel, if i'm not mistaken..

    I think it's the same reason Bill Gates likes to take over the world and crush you like a bug..

    It's also the same reason i troll...even if i'm not appreciated :)

    I don't know this model is completely bad. It's how the copier(and various other) industry works..While they don't make much money on equipment sales, they make loads on service.

    While free may be a bit excessive on the bottom line, the service model isn't new.
