Nod. I understand. I am Libertarian also, and I used to do that. Now I spend my vote where I think it can do the most good, switching between the major parties as necessary to participate in key primaries. But that's a lot more work than just voting for whomever has a capital L after their name.

In most instances, I know the Libertarian candidates personally, and most of them are friends of mine. Additionally, I'd like to see us hit the 5% mark to get major party status.

I don't like anybody holding power for too long, and typically when a judge gets elected it's a position for life. Most attorneys are reluctant to run against a sitting judge, so many times they don't even have an opponent. So when they do have an opponent, I usually vote against the one with "Judge" in front of their name.

If you're voting (or would, if you could) for other than the Democratic or Republican parties' candidates this year, what drives that decision?

Maybe it's because I only see minor differences between the two major parties. Under both the D's & R's, the size & scope of government has increased, and our liberties are being decreased. What liberties you ask? How about the right to have medical marijuana in a state where the voters have decided it should be legal, but the Feds are conducting record numbers of raids? How about not having a presumption of guilt when trying to travel via airplane? How about the right to not be spied on without due process? That's just the start. I'm not 100% libertarian, but I'll still be casting my vote for all of the LP's candidates on my ballot. Obama's medical marijuana raids.

Obama does not deserve the left's support, I would really encourage them to vote either Green Party or Libertarian Party this election if they find these types of things morally repugnant.

AFAIK, all of the Humble Indie Bundle games are available from Steam and don't come with DRM. You can request a Steam code for your games if you want to get them that way.

I have Steam, and I usually only buy games that are on deep discount whenever they have one of their crazy 75% off sales. The only time I go online with them is when I buy games, otherwise I go into offline mode.

If a 3rd party wants to be taken seriously start at the bottom. city councilor, mayor, state senator, work your way up, then people will see what you really believe in and have a track record... and while you are at it get more of "your party" elected to those roles as well.

No, it doesn't mean that at all.
