But I really don't like this gnu/linux thing. If RMS wnats, change gpl to assure that programs will have gnu/(name). If he do it, people will fork gpl:) Forcing people to do something they don't want dosen't seems to be the idea on open source, I don't want to be forced to name my program because I'm using GPL, and if GPL requires that, I'll be free to make my own GPL_FREE Licence that dosen't require any naming scheme.
Yes, rh is more stable. Yes rh is better for gnome.
No, rh don't give me updated rpms, rh dosen't give me a good kde support.
I'm a typical user, I want to keep updated and want kde:)
I was expecting this to replace my Redhat 7.1.
RH was very good sometime ago, but now they are simply ignoring desktop and focusing on servers, so I don't like it anymore.
Someone knows what packages are in the cd3?
Seems like I'll have a lot of work backpuing things and creating cds for my distro change.
I still have XFree 3.3.6 because my Trident 3D 975 dosen't work well on XFree4 (still haven't tested 4.2 because there are no rpms for redhat 7.1), so, basically I don't have Xft, even having some true types using an old Xfree3 hack for this.
In this case, this mozilla patch will not show fonts on my system right? So... this thing should never be merged on Mozilla, right?
Or I am missing something?
When I try using 2.4 and mount cdrom kernel freezes. Good not?
So I kept 2.2 and I'm happy with it even it gaing slower.
Yesterday I just made a downgrade of Xfree back to version 3.3.6 because Trident 3D Image 975 isn't well suported on Xfree 4.1.
So I think those guys should stop a bit and make SURE the hardware that worked with older versions still works on newer versions.
I am really angry that there is already a 2.5 kernel before my problem was fixed (at least not at 2.4.14).

Did you tryied Crossover plugin? Or a very new version of wine? Works great for me.
