It's funny to see some Tungsten T ads on top of this page! mwouahahah! I guess Palm is just dead! Dell offers sssooooo much than Palm for sssoooo less. The only thing Palm has is their OS and Graffiti... and is it that good compared to Pocket PC 2002? Oh, and maybe Bluetooth is another thing only Palm has... but would you buy a Tungsten for 499$ USD or an Axim for about the half???
Waw! I can remote control my iBook with my Bluetooth-enabled Tungsten! Look, it iSyncs!;)
Waw! I can serve WWW/PHP on my Linux Axim with my ethernet compact-flash card, and the average load is only 8%;) It's ssssooo silent!;)
NOUS SOMMES LES MEILLEURS, NOUS SOMMES LES CHAMPIONS, ON VA BOTTER LE CUL DES AMERICAINS !
And what about the FIFA World Cup?
YOU lost!
Go back to your "poésie" and "théatre"... you are only good at that!
There were no actual canadian doctors involved, only a canadian patient...
But Canadians are also developping a visual implant similar to the one cited in the article... You can find more info here, or here (in french). (the last article is from 2001... wonder what is happening right now...)
If you think of it, vi is probably better suited for embedding in other apps. The keybindings used in vi are more "compatible" with modern GUI apps, while Emacs has keybindings that would map OVER kde or gnome or whatever... I mean, would the ALT-[bla] or CTRL-[bla] key sequences be received by embedded emacs or by konqueror? It is obvious that vi wins in that respect.
It seems clear to me that Emacs is a full featured OS;-) that wants to live on its own while vi is an editor that is easily embeddable.
That sounds like really great news for the BeOS community. Sega won't be disappointed by the upcoming ShrinkedBe-Based-PalmOS. I think we'll be able to see, _too late_, real support for BeOS's wonderfull media capabilities.
Just too sad it is too late for Be...:( It would have been wonderful to have Sega embrace that OS...
This idea really is interesting!
However, I wonder how it will take metadata from files and put it into the DB directly... like for ID3 tags for example...
Will there be intelligent plugins a la Reiser4 that will transparently do this?
