Yeah, no shit. That scene in Fargo where the detective was eating her lunch in front of a giant advertising logo was utterly pointless and really brought me out of the movie.

It almost ruined the movie for me, even though couldn't have been longer than 10 seconds.

I think the only product placement that every made me want to buy the product in question was in Wipeout (Red something?); too bad they don't sell the product on my continent...

I don't understand this meme that says that 'Quicktime is best.' I've found Quicktime videos to be oversized, painfully slow to load the Quicktime application and even slower to buffer, impossible to determine how much of the film has loaded (the indicator is rarely accurate), and with absolutely abominable frame rates.

Are you an idiot? - You are 100k in debt. Now, even granted that once you become a practicing doctor (imagine you have succeeded...) you will likely pay off your debt within 10 years, it is riciculous that you are so far under in light of scholarships that could have been won, work that could have been done, etc.

No offense, but if I was 100k in debt and met you in person, and you laughed at me for going into debt to better myself, I'd punch your lights out.

Linux is in the running to power the world's biggest computer, we learned this week at LinuxWorld Expo.

This is clearly really exciting news. If Linux ends up being used on the world's largest (or fastest, or sexiest, etc...) computer, it's reputation for being both A)A valid solution for high-load calculations and B)A superior solution, worthy of being used on expensive hardware.

If Linux is used on this largest computer, imagine what this will mean for managers choosing it for mere 'large' computers. The future looks good for 'Big' Linux.
