The point many people seens to be missing is: In Japan it takes 7 (seven!) years from depositing a patent request and having it granted, so any prior art must be older than 7 years to be used against a patent.
I am interested in one of those, how much do you want for it?
Why does people have so much problem using "than"
on
4Gb CF Card Announced
·
· Score: 1
See the sentence:
" It looks like Lexar has managed to be faster then Hitachi (Former IBM storage division) with their 4Gb Microdrive"
It's "faster THAN" not "faster THEN", using "then" gives a completely different (and wrong) meaning to the sentence.
Brazillian system (much more pratical, and has the same level of security)
In Brazil, banks will issue your atm card with a passcode (a series of numbers) and a tree letter auxiliary code. So, to get money from a ATM you swipe your card in the machine, and it asks for your passcode, then, if the passcode is correct, it will show a table relating letters to numbers. Then you do a lookup to see what numbers represent the letters of your auxiliary code. The important thing is that the table is different everytime you use the ATM, so a keylogger won't do any good because it will register only the passcode, because it won't be able to know what number correlated to what letter in each session.
It's a lot simpler than the finnish way and doesn't make you carry a piece of paper full of "one-time-pads" like the finnish system
Marantz has been manufacturing universal remote control for a decade, they have far more experience in this market. They are also pretty easy to set up and sturdy.
There is no real good way for a machine to tell good mail from junk mail , people just do the same thing over and over again : block certain hosts from sending e-mail to them , wich is, by far , not the greatest way to filter e-mail. filtering e-mail by searching for "hot words" like "FREE!!!!" doesn't do much good either. As long as computers don't think we won't stop spam mail. And when they do think , they will not want to spend their intelligence sorting mail:-)
