But no one can prove whether the problem was the operating system, the database, the.NET platform, or buggy code
Actually the answer to that question is "Yes"
Beg to differ, Have you ever used either language extensively? I have. I've also used every version of Java since 1.1. Don't tell me I don't know shit young one.
Ok I'll concede that an interpreted code body is an executable capable of running on a virtual machine. But who really cares anyway it was a toss off reply to an AC and it's really irrelevant.
C# is VB with C syntax. VB is Microsoft's bastardized version of Java. Both are useful for what I do and neither are ideal. I don't use C# because me and my manager are the only programmers in the office that would be able to read the code. So I use VB.NET and manage to accomplish what needs to be done. At home I use C++. Objective C and a myriad of other languages including python which is an abomination and it's inventor should be shot. I mean who ever heard of a modern object oriented language where the easiest way to define a new variable is to misspell an old one.
If you are tired of reading them why must you read them just to post that you are tired of reading them. Have some compassion for those of us that are not tired of them and just cease and desist! Stop reading go away and shut the f*** up.
Now that's a man with an under active imagination, needs other people to give him background content. Sheesh, next you'll say that no flavor of ice cream other than vanilla is any good.
But if software I install currupts(sic) things then yes I do expect warrenty(sic) to cover.
It is and has always been possible to damage your hardware using software/firmware. I remember in the old days of getting X to run on my PC that it was possible to set the frequencies to values that would destroy the monitor. So I can't see your point about a warranty covering user modifications (corruptions) to include software.
You mean like your TV set? Although it isn't the manufacturer that maintains control. And truth be told you can do things to take control back such as not using the tuner.
I think it is possible that used TV's and broadcasting equipment with an uninterrupted Time/Warner cable subscription would be as useful, but just as quickly made useless as the cell phones.
The one thing that we have always had that these developing nations haven't is the ability of the common people to get news and human events stories. When you connect the people you can easily see that there is little difference between you and the people your commander has just told you to wipe out. You can also see that the rest of the world is ready to condemn you for what you are about to do. So communications and information dissemination is the key to these peoples developing more civilization. So even if the digital divide itself isn't the problem fixing it also fixes what is the problem and I see no harm in killing two birds with one stone.
Actually no they didn't just seek publicity, their actions were for a completely different reason and if you had been around in 1979/80 you would have known that. That was a different time and we perhaps had not learned then that publicity seeking may be the case in future encounters. I was actually looking for more recent events that fit the exact statement that I was requesting citation on.
You have a responsibility to see that you are informed. So given that I perhaps have stated my objection badly. I fail to see how your "right" to know something generates in another the obligation to inform. You may have the right to ask but I have no obligation to tell unless there is a law that applies to this particular situation as is sometimes the case but rarely.
Not exactly, right next door to me is a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath 1650 sq foot condo for $249,000 I live 43 miles from downtown Los Angeles but most of the jobs are less than 17 miles away I have a half hour commute and my wife and I make 6 figures. Now if we hadn't been stupid with the credit cards we would be in very good shape but the rent is close to $2000/mo. $400k right now in the San Fernando Valley will get you a nice 1900-2200 sq. ft. 3 or 4 bedroom 2 bath house with a postage stamp yard and maybe a pool. Eleven months ago this same house was going for over $700k and some upwards of $900k. Costs of living are coming down all over the nation. If you want t cheap house, in Detroit you can fine them under $16,000 but where would you work?
My father was a contract manager at Armour Meat company and refused to sell McDonalds what they wanted him to sell them and make sure to label it 100% Beef. I can't really tell you what McD's wanted as it would just be hear say along with the rest of this story but I won't eat at McDonalds to this day and I never will.

Excuse me. Java pre-dates VB by a considerable amount. You haven't been around long either have you?

You obviously don't work with .NET on a daily basis. Same crap different syntax, different names on the box..
actually neither produce executables.
if you don't want them knowing who you are- I've got an idea- don't contact their servers.
This is just brilliant. I wish I had though of it.

No, you may go too!
Yes! you may go!
Um have you actually bothered read any of the info on this case. The judge did nothing, the freakin' jury awarded the absurd amount.
Now that's a man with an under active imagination, needs other people to give him background content. Sheesh, next you'll say that no flavor of ice cream other than vanilla is any good.
Not getting laid makes you sarcastic and bitter, playing D&D is just a bonus.

I can't fix the roof cause it's raining...boo hoo
Apparently Heinlein was right, you can actually download those things, I leave it as an exercise to the reader to figure out how.
Communications are so helpful.
I know you just trying to be funny but think about exactly what you just said.
