It would seem to me that if you give the court a straw man (illegal interception) to throw all over the floor the real motion (Media sentry acted contrary to the PI Laws) you may actually get the motion with the most credibility to carry. Well they all target them, but few target them specifically to get their money. They do expect you to help support the church but they believe you can help other ways than monetarily. At least in most areas they will take repairs/improvements to the church etc. into account as donations. So while all church like organizations do target vulnerable people most of them want to actually help and not to make you better just to get your money. But I could be wrong, I generally take these things on faith.
Of course the "they cost more" is still a straw man and not inherently true. Giving people what they want is what ruins most retail companies. Give them what you can support them having and make sure it meets what they need and you have a winner. Any other proposition requires you to have an illegal monopoly to make money.
Jobs doesn't need to go there personally, they are currently safe as long as they never sell a system outside Russia. They are safe as long as Apple doesn't have enough money/clout to make the Russian legal system take notice and allow them to sue. They are safe as long as the Russian Mafia doesn't own significant shares of Apple stock!

Theft can also be defined as depriving someone of control of the item in question and copying it certainly deprives the owner of control of that item through means not approved by the controlling owner. You need not remove property to have stolen it if you have denied the owner rightful compensation for that control. Are we quite clear now as to the legality of his acquisition of the aforementioned copy of the previously mentioned item?
Not sure, but always a possibility. The cost of defending against it whether it is a viable lawsuit or not could be nasty. Taking steps to mitigate your liability are always prudent.
He incurs a possibly many tens of thousands of dollars of liability against the housing unit and all you want done is to have him stand in the corner for a couple of minutes? Besides you didn't read his rental agreement.
You of course also have no knowledge of any action or investigation management took before throwing him out as we only have his half of the story. I hate to go all Les Miserables on people but he did steal the loaf of bread and he readily admits it. ( that's a simile people or even perhaps a metaphoric loaf of bread that he metaphorically stole)
