  1. Re:it is a bad game folks... on LGP Announces Majesty is Complete · · Score: 2, Funny
The initial review there is the worst attempt at a game review I've ever seen, including the ones people write on Amazon.com. The rebuttal is a little better, but not much.

Agreed. The breathless and rambling writing sytle makes both of them sound like ten year olds with ADHD and on speed who just finished off a pot of coffee and are now starting in on a few lines of coke.

When I heard the name I thought it might be a new psychic office suite from John Edward.

Perhaps the word processor would try a "cold reading" to guess what word you'll type next. "I'm sensing a 'T'... Maybe a 'the'? ... 'this?' ... 'there?'"

  3. Re:Newsflash: LOTR was not the best picture of 200 on LoTR Takes 4 Oscars · · Score: 1

Ok, so maybe LOTR was not the most serious film made this year. Maybe it wasn't filled with insight into the human condition. Maybe it was lacking any serious theme or philosophy. Maybe it didn't push the boundaries of art or inspire the audience to think. I'll buy that. But so what? It was just trying to entertain, and it did a good job of it. Why is that wrong? Let's lighten up. It's basically a kids movie, and one of the best ones in years. It deserved to win.

  4. Re:Iron Grip on Net Still Not At Olympics · · Score: 1
Too bad you missed the opening ceremonies. Aside from the part where they brought out the WTC flag, the ceremonies were the height of unintentional comedy. Most of it revolved around some sort bizarre Ice Capades show starring "The Child of Light." I still haven't figured out who he is supposed to be.

Anyway, I don't want to be too negative. I hope the rest of the games go well. Salt Lake City is under an enormous amount of pressure to put on a good show, especially given the utter debacle of the 2000 Olympics. I'm at least hoping for some good hockey (if NBC can be convinced to broadcast any during waking hours).
