  1. Re:So few complaints? on Sony Fixes Problems With New DVDs · · Score: 1

0.001%? Did they even ship enough disks in the first place to get such a small number of complaints as one in 100,000?
Sounds like they should consult Verizon on this as it just might be another $.002 vs. .002 cents mistake.
  2. Re:One effect on Effects of China's Software Policy on World Economy? · · Score: 1

China is not "undeveloped", please read some facts before making statements. Besides, even before this policy going into effect, it's not like the Chinese government was "buying" that much foreign software anyways. They could/would just use it without paying for it, what can you do? NOTHING. Piracy is such an issue there you have no idea, all the software stores in the streets selling pirated stuff, when I was there, I actually could not find legitamate software.

  3. 3 letters: on Laptops w/o Trackpads? · · Score: 1

IBM Most of their models still do not have touchpads, still clinging on to the archaic touch stick (nipple as some would affectionately call it). This is one of the reasons I won't go with IBM (the price is also a turn off).

  4. How fragile will this be? on Building a Stained Glass Computer Case? · · Score: 2, Insightful

This is an awesome idea and I imagine it will look so nice when it's finished but wouldn't you be afraid to work with your case since it's so nice but stained glass isn't exactly the same ol' sheet metal here. I have a mirror finish done on my case and I'm really apprehensive about working with it in fear of scratching it, I just think in your case shattering glass would be much worse than just a scratch on the paint.

Yea, Moore's Law is no longer upheld in the CPU industry but I think due to more reasons from marketing and sales rather than technology. The graphics chip industry though is doubling performance every 6 month :)
