I learned this in my concealed carry classes. My state has no legal provision for a property owner to post "no guns allowed" signs. They can post them but they have no force of law. All they can do is ask you to leave if they discover that you are armed -- you haven't actually broken any laws unless they ask you to leave and you decline to do so.

The problem will be that the few remaining animals out there will need to be caught and sampled in order to make it happen.

With the CPU/GPU horsepower available, there is no reason why you can't host a game and still get stellar framerates. I think you are reading things into his comments that aren't there.

This is just a stupid stunt that won't have much effect on anything.

I think that if you look at a lot of the religious persecutions and killings done by non-religious groups, they aren't so much being done because the victims are religious but for other reasons. Even the holocaust was more about ethnic cleansing as opposed to the Nazis objecting to Jewish dogma.
Atheists may not have 'clean hands' as a whole, but the movement or concept of Athesim seems to be pretty much removed from mass genocides and such.

Since you will typically connect through the same router, it would be trivial to configure the router to block all remote content from whatever servers they employ. You cannot realistically write the OS to stop functioning when an ad server cannot be contacted, as short outages or spotty connectivity would destroy any value of said OS. Just turn on all the 'stream me adds, I am a coporate whore' options on the box' to enable features and block it at the port.
