If you go to the pets warehouse website and look under the "New Forum Messages", section "Welcome" someone thought it would be funny to post , shall we say "raw" comments about the company.
the comments themselves are pretty funny, but the person responsible should be carefull. wouldn't want to have them sued for an opinion.
if you aren't associated with drm, then those intelligent users will side with you. and since most computer illiterate folk have a tendancy to ask their intelligent friends about what computer they should buy, its kind of a chain reaction.
however, good things don't last forever. someday someone will convince apple to comply, through funding or by law. hopefully this won't happen though, and drm will be thrown out, like windows 95.
i think that parents these days spend alot less time with their children then they should. if there is no role model figure around, video games make take the place of one.
17 ratings are a bit too high. children learn a lot more in the first few years of their life then at the age of 17. i think if there were to be a game rating system, that it should be more like 7 or 8. (for games like resident evil, unreal)
there is far more danger on influencing a child at a younger age. this is where voilent games should be "banned" (allowing only older kids to buy the game)
I agree that some games are sometimes better on consoles. For some people the problem is that there are too many games only released for one system. If you happen to like Zelda and Final Fantasy, that would be too much money to purchase both systems and both games.
It would be easier if console games were also released for the PC so that consumers have a choice.
I believe that a PC is a cheaper solution, if you prefer playing with a controller, you can easily dish out the $30 or so and get a controller for your gameport, instead of buying a $250 system just to play one game.
