Seems like someone should put out an X prize for a way to organize all this crap in a manner that would let earth have so rings like other planets. Least it would look cool from space
Seems pretty similar to my ipod touch. Minus the keyboard. Though I have found that the missing 3G connection for the touch makes it very annoying to travel with. I don't see how there will be a large market for these devices without ubiquitous internet.
Who wants to buy high priced electronics from a shack. Radio Shack should seriously consider a major rebranding like Pick - n - Save did to become Big Lots!.
When it comes down to it TiVo is the best thing that has ever happened to my tv watcing experience. We have a directivo so we are able to record two shows at once unlike the cable versions. You cannot touch the quality of the UI on this box with the homebrew setup. We recently upgraded ours and now it holds all the movies we record and all the pay per view movies we purchase. Some of my friends have got the DVR that their cable company offers and its UI is nothing compared to the TiVo. After they use the TiVo they wished they had got a TiVo. TiVo is a company that deserves to be supported. You will not want to watch tv on any other tv in the house once you get a TiVo.
Outsourcing only works effectively if you are in that mythical work environment where requirements are fully established, interfaces are completely specified, and test harnesses for all the code are in place before a line gets written.
You just described my project. One question... Where are all the dragons and gargoyles. Oh yeah... I forgot about those "People" in offices with doors.
Make no mistake I Love Firefox. But you can't expect a non technical user to understand that the webpage they are trying to view does not work with Firefox and is IE compatible only. Which unfortunately is something that internet users still are forced to deal with?
What do you propose to say? It is the new Internet explorer called Mozilla but if the site doesn't work as you expect it to you need to open it in the old IE and the site will function as you expect. It just isn't practical until developers stop creating IE only websites (Yahoo Avatar is a great example).
People don't understand what a great opportunity offshoring is for US companies.
As a recent college graduate with a degree in CS I was excited to find that entry level these days is College degree + 3-5 years experience! It would be nice to have some of the offshored jobs back to gain my 3-5 with. So I can get the "Better jobs" that are going to be produced by this model.
Seriously, Those astronauts aren't really doing anything up there anymore. Let them go up and start arranging the junk in the shape of a ring

Mabe they think it is dead because M$ has done everything imaginable to stop computer makers from offering it as an option to windows
