It didn't even work in Firefox here. It says "You are vulnerable, if a pop-up window opened and showed text from Secunia and not from CitiBank.". All I got was a bar at the top of the Secunia page that said:

"Firefox prevented this site from openning 619 popup windows. Click here for options"

Is this Windows only or something?

The point is, open a Nautilus (classic) window. Now in the View menu, deselect "Side Pane", and "Location Bar" then tear off the toolbar. With all that functionality removed you've got a spacial Nautilus.

This was forced on us as if it were some fantastic innovation. Its not, at the very least put those items in the View menu of the spacial Nautilus so we can turn that stuff back on, there's nothing wrong with it and without them it makes it harder to navigate. Simpler isn't always better.

In order to include decss in your product you have to be licensed. ... You can make a DVD player without involvement of the dvdcca, but without the ability to play encrypted discs

Who says DeCSS is the only option? DeCSS used keys ripped out of a licensed player, and that is what they were sued for. There are other ways to decrypt CSS.

Second, How they manage to enforce the US' DMCA laws outside of the US (I'm never travelling there anyway - I saw what they did to Dmitri). And third, MPlayer does NOT use DeCSS at all.

But yeah, I did laugh. Good reply. :)

The only "legitimate" software that allowed that was shut down by the DVD consortium

What software is that? Surely you don't mean DeCSS, they dropped that battle. And there's absolutely nothing stopping you from ripping a DVD to your hard drive now, and burning it to DVD-R with the CSS encryption intact.

Well said. Spacial Nautilus the kind of thing that looks good to developers because someone put forth a proposal and mentioned the HIG enough times. Look below the surface, and you'll see HIG as the reasoning for everything, often both sides of an argument simultaneously.

I really believe its time for HIG v2, so we can see if things are improving from the user perspective, or getting worse. Nautilus on the whole is VERY confusing to the users that I have introduced to it. Just try explaining why removing the toolbar is a good thing to any reasonably minded person. All you'll get is a blank stare.

I said middle click. As in open in a new tab, like I do with any link I see on a page I don't want to leave. Point is, why not link to the main page of your site, or some blurb about the extension with a screenshot. I don't want to start a fight, just making a suggestion.
