A baseline JPEG decoder is not hard to write. Unless you are a script kiddie.

If you actually knew the JPEG standard you'd realize there are very few places for a buffer overflow to occur since practically everything regarding the image is fixed size.

It's amazing how people keep buying useless books in a pathetic effort to increase their programming skills. OOP is just an organization feature and is pretty trivial.
