For a lot of companies HTTP is an exposed interface (for others it's disconnected from core data). This sounds like the same old "security on the internet" thing we've been hearing for years now.
If you can't be part of the solution there's penty of money to be made prolonging the problem.
NB
This could be a very big boost for Linux. This could mean companies with Solaris start buying Linux softare which in turn means more Linux developers have jobs!!!!
For me to get in the zone a few things need be just right. These thing hardly ever happen at work....mostly at home after dark when the wife and kids are in bed...
Dark or very dim lighting
Big monitor
Comfy chair kinda "laid-back" (not required, but it does help get in the zone quicker)
The temp. must be cool (not unlike a datacenter)
Completely quit - just the tapping of my keys (no music for me - i noticed a lot of others like music in their zone)
I got two of these emails from Verisign a week or two ago...Good thing I knew what I was doing or I might have renewed a domain that's already been paid until 2004.

Solution: Don't use Windows XP
I were in his shoes....
that single file program should check to see if [program].ini exists in the current directory...if not, create it and use it to store settings.
0) still only one file to install it.
1) no registry keys
2) still easy to remove
We need more time.....please give us time to make everything work right!!!!!!!!
