Err.... What???
They are the same answer, just printed at different points of rounding.
As no one can illustrate how a addition of 500 ppm of CO2 (.05%) since the forties/fifties into our atmosphere has effected anything. All the while.....
Ignoring that the northern hemisphere's winters will shrink till the year 3088.
That the burning of all this fossil fuel creates heat.
Lets talk about how the "Greens" land mismanagement created the environment that that has the State of California now burning.
I am sorry, this is not accurate.
The foam was changed over to a new environmentally friendly one some time ago, even though the subcontractor was granted a waiver by the EPA to use the older/tested material. It is this new foam that is the problem. The decision to switch foam types was some what political as the controlling subcontractor was changed from Rockwell to Lockheed at that time.
As I understand it, this is egg on the face of a particular colonel, and he seems to be very good at obfuscating his involvement.
I used to frequent "Dr. Dewpoint" at intellicast.com to see whet the "Snowboard season" would be like. The accuracy of his predictions was uncanny.
He can no longer be found on the Internet and links to his work are being removed. In particular, "Don't Settle for Quick Answers on Climate Change!"
Here is a quick bio:
Joseph S. D'Aleo, BS, MS, CCM, AMS Fellow
Joseph D'Aleo, Chief Meteorologist and "Dr. Dewpoint" for WSI/Intellicast.com, is considered by many in the industry as a leading expert on the weather and climate. Joe has taught meteorology at the college level; published many papers, articles, and books; and given interviews for television and news publications. His most recent accolade was a weather and climate briefing to the president's staff at the White House.
Joe has nearly three decades of experience as a meteorologist. He holds BS and MS degrees in Meteorology from The University of Wisconsin and was in the doctoral studies program in Meteorology at NYU. Joe was a Professor of Meteorology at the college level for over 8 years (6 years at Lyndon State College) and was a co-founder and the first Director of Meteorology at the cable TV Weather Channel. Since 1989, Joe has been Chief Meteorologist at WSI Corporation in Billerica, Massachusetts. Joe is Senior Editor (aka Dr Dewpoint) for WSI's popular Intellicast.com web site.
Joe is a Certified Consultant Meteorologist and was elected a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society. He has served as member and then chairman of the American Meteorological Society's Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting, and has co-chaired national conferences for both the AMS and the NWA. Joe has authored, presented, and published numerous papers focused on advanced applications enabled by new technologies and how research into ENSO and other atmospheric and oceanic phenomena has made possible skillful seasonal forecasts. He has recently authored a book for Greenwood Publishing on El Nino and La Nina.
"(Hint: Republicans won.)"
Oh wink wink nudge nudge.
Ye of short memory. Al Gore tried to steal the election in Florida.
Remember the dangling and dimpled chads?
When President Bush thought he lost, he congratulated his opponent, when Al thought he lost, he called out his attorneys.
So their camp screamed "Election Reform"!
Now we have electronic voting machines, like they were never going to be hackable.
Thanks Al.
The only excess CO2 is coming from his mouth.
"Have you read Antiwar.com"
Have you? And I quote:
"as well as many on the Right who agree with our opposition to imperialism. "
Quick, tell Germany and Japan!
Show some proof of these acusations.
This is becoming VERY old.
Which one?
The CoolMaster case looks like a piece of stereo gear, which is handy in some environments. I went to TigerDirect and cannot see anything, save one server rackmount case, that is designed to sit horizontally.
Thanks....
After studying the United States power structure, a cursory review would find our power transmission system to be a point where considerable savings could be made. Transporting hydrocarbons and having them converted to electricity onsite would be a great way to save energy.
Maybe transporting hydrogen may be an answer. Current fuelcell and hydrogen answers logistically stink. How are you creating this hydrogen? Is this process creating as big of a mess as we have now?
Really....
I was unaware the "Industry" lobbied for rate cap's that would make them unprofitable. Well the CFO?s of those companies should be fired! They failed economics 101 when selling a product for less than it can be delivered for.
Hmmm,
An interesting counterpoint (Off Topic) would be "Why isn't the government of California being subpoenaed for bankrupting the power industry there?"

Sigh, Slashdot just answered the question, yes the liberal media, like slashdot, censors reasonable dialog on the subject.
